Service bulletins for the 2019 Ford Mustang
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 18-2360 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Some 2018 F-150 and 2018-2019 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTCs P0390 and/or P0394 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |

| SSM 47741 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA; BACK OVER PREVENTION. Some 2019 Mustang, Continental, Fusion, MKZ, F150, Edge or Nautilus with SYNC 3 may have a symptom of a rear view camera that remain on the screen when moving forward above 5MPH or a solid blue screen once the vehicle is at cruising speed. Some vehicles may experience inoperative infotainment applications such as Apple CarPlay. To eliminate these symptoms from occurring, it is recommended to disable the Wi-Fi in the settings menu by selecting Automatic updates. Shut off system WIFI and then disable automatic updates. If the vehicle is stuck in the rear camera state you can exit this state by shutting the vehicle off and powering the system down for at least three minutes. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates. |
| SSM 47735 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2018-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit inoperative remote features via Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app, incomplete user authorization and/or accessory protocol interface module (APIM) DTC U0198 or no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed. To correct this condition, remove the TCU fuse for 5 minutes prior to programing. Delete all previous session files for the vehicle and do not install the TCU fuse until a new IDS session has been started. Once the new session has been started and the fuse reinstalled, the TCU can be programmed. Make sure you are connected to the internet before retesting. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229. |
| 18B35 | 2019-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Certain 2018 Model Year F-150 and 2019 Mustang Vehicles equipped with 5.0L Engine - Throttle Body Replacement |
| SSM 47662 | 2019-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. For 2010-2019 vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines, when diagnosing and/or replacing turbo related concerns, all steps within the Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure must be followed including replacement of all mandatory discarded parts. For all turbocharged engine applications, the turbocharger oil supply filter (6C683 gas engine/6L625 connector style or 6A968 diesel engine) must be replaced whenever the turbocharger or the turbocharger oil supply tube are replaced. Turbocharger bearing failure may occur if oil starvation occurs due to a restricted filter. |
| SSM 47635 | 2019-01-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When connecting the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) and Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) to the DLC located on the driver side under the steering column at the GWM, make sure that the ignition is off before connecting the VCM. If the ignition is on or the engine is running during the connection, it can result in various warning lights being illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), no start, no crank conditions or the IPC inoperative. If a vehicle displays these issues, disconnect the equipment from the DLC and disconnect the vehicle battery. Wait 10 minutes and reinstall with the ignition off. Clear any DTCs present and retest. |
| TSB 18-2355 | 2019-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CATALYTIC CONVERTOR. Some 2018-2019 Mustang vehicles built on or before 17-Oct-2018 and equipped with a 2.3L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0420. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |
| SSM 47515 | 2018-12-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2017-2018 F-150, 2018 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2019 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 10R80 transmission may exhibit a whine noise. This may occur at idle and while driving coming from the bell housing and front pan area of the transmission. The whine noise may become louder when at operating temperature and increases with higher engine RPM in the Park position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R80 transmission due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability. |
| TSB 18-2267 | 2018-12-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2018-2019 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and a manual transmission may exhibit an inability to drive the vehicle in first and/or second gear. This may be due to a broken 1-2 shift fork. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |
