Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford F-150
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 54940 | 2026-06-22. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021-2026 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a U2100:00 diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for initial configuration incomplete stored in the trailer control module (TRM). This may be due to the vehicle having a Ford accessory trailer brake kit installed without being programmed following the included instructions. If the vehicle was built with minor feature code FDDAA and a trailer brake gain switch is present in the stock location in the instrument panel, a Ford Accessory trailer brake kit has been installed on the vehicle. If a Ford Accessory trailer brake kit is present, download and run the "TRM - Towbar Configuration" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). |

| ITRM-26.B04 F-150 | 2026-05-01. Over-the-air update. SERVICE BRAKES; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 26C10 Recall remedy -Addresses instances where the trailer lights and trailer brakes may not function |
| SSM 54401 | 2025-12-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021-2025 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a stuck in park condition with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This may be due to connector C211 pin push out on circuit CCB61 or an open on circuit CCB61 between the antilock brake system (ABS) module and the body control module (BCM). Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-05 Automatic Transmission External Controls > Diagnosis and Testing > External Controls - Pinpoint Test for "Stuck In Park" has been updated with improved diagnostics. Refer to revised WSM sections for normal diagnosis. |
| TSB 25-2276 | 2025-06-24. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; POWER TRAIN. This article supersedes TSB 25-2045 to update the production fix date and add model years. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above equipped with a console gear shift module (GSM) may exhibit at least one of the following conditions: * Clicking sound coming from shifter after it is placed and kept in reverse, neutral or drive position (2024 only) * Shifter will not shift out of park/into park * Shifter will not shift out of gear * Shifter will not stow/unstow * Shifter will move past the park position * Loose shifter lever arm at pivot * Illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator * DTC P0929:77, P0929:00, P0929:07 and/or P0929:9A This may be due to a faulty GSM and/or connector C211 pin push out on circuit CCB61 or an open on circuit CCB61, between the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and the body control module (BCM). Note: If the gear shifter lever will not shift into park, the transmission will automatically shift into park when the return to park function is triggered. |
| SSM 52594 | 2024-06-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2023-2024 F-150 non-hybrid/non-Lightning vehicles built on or after 01-Mar-2023 may exhibit an illuminated battery malfunction indicator and/or illuminated ABS malfunction indicator which may be accompanied by a Check Brake System message and/or 12V Battery State Of Charge Low message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3003:16 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to the state of charge of the battery. The Workshop Manual (WSM) has recently been updated with improved diagnostics for this condition. Refer to the WSM, Section 206-09 Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control, Diagnosis and Testing, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control - Electric, Pinpoint Tests, Pinpoint Test A: ABS Voltage Supply Concerns for applicable diagnostics. |
| SSM 52340 | 2024-03-20. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE. Some 2023 F-150 Raptor/Tremor vehicles may exhibit failed programmable module installation (PMI) using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) when installing a new ABS module. This may be due to the software within the new ABS service replacement part. To correct this condition, when installing a new ABS module during normal Workshop Manual (WSM) repair and diagnosis, use service part PL3Z-2005-B and perform part installation and PMI per the WSM, Section 206-09 Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control, Removal and Installation, Electric Brake Booster (EBB). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and applicable labor operations in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

| SSM 51261 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit noise when the brakes are applied. When diagnosing and repairing brake noise conditions, use the Workshop Manual (WSM) and the appropriate pinpoint test in section 206-00. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00. |
