Service bulletins for the 2025 Ford Explorer
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 54720 | 2026-04-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION. Various 2020-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern. |
| SSM 54313 | 2025-10-28. Service bulletin. LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2020-2025 various Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). | SSM 54254 | 2025-10-02. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025 Explorer/Aviator vehicles may exhibit a condition where the instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays an unexpected Watch the Road warning while using BlueCruise with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored related to the driver-assist systems. This may be due to the steering column tilt angle and/or driver seat position (height and backrest angle). Replacing components is not expected to resolve this issue. Optimize driver head position by adjusting the steering column tilt angle and driver seat position (height and backrest angle) to ensure the driver status monitor camera (DSMC) mounted on top of the steering column has a clear view of the drivers entire face from chin to forehead. Provide both Explorer and Aviator customers with a printout of the Lincoln Aviator Owners Manual page titled, Lincoln BlueCruise > How Does BlueCruise Work. The Explorer Owner's Manual is in process of being updated. If the customers symptom persists after the above adjustments have been performed, continue with normal diagnostics found in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-03B. |
| TSB 25-2422 | 2025-09-19. Other. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION; BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS. This article supersedes TSB 25-2372 to update the vehicle symptoms. |
| TSB 25-2372 | 2025-08-12. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. This article supersedes TSB 25-2294 to update the vehicle lines affected. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit driver assistance feature warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Additionally, some modules may store invalid data/lost communication diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This may be due to software in the image processing module A (IPMA). |
| TSB 25-2294 | 2025-07-01. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. |
| SSM 53863 | 2025-06-11. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING; VISIBILITY/WIPER; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025 Explorer/Aviator vehicles may exhibit driver assistance feature warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Additionally, some modules may store invalid data/lost communication diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The image processing module A (IPMA) should not store these DTCs. This condition may be due to the software in the IPMA causing no communication on the network. To restore communication/function, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Recovery" app in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) tool, then "Trusted Real-Time Operation Network (TRON) Module Authentication" following FDRS screen instructions. Next, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Alignment" app, recheck DTCs and confirm that all warning messages are cleared from the IPC. For vehicles equipped with a 360 degree camera, perform the "360 Degree View Camera Alignment" procedure in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13. If these steps correct the condition, release the vehicle back to the customer. |
