Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford Expedition

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 518272023-08-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers they can remove this condition and continue to drive the vehicle by turning off the vehicle and leaving the vehicle in Key OFF, Engine OFF for at least 30 seconds, then restarting the engine. Engineering is working on a solution that is expected in October 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments once the repair becomes available.
