Service bulletins for the 2013 Dodge Durango

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

218 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

90040092022-09-26. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Transmission Kit with Torque Converter 1. All Promaster (VF) 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the transmission bracket to the transmission case fasteners are removed during servicing, the fasteners (Part Number 06511385A$) are one-time usage. Vehicles built prior to 10/23/2015 requires Service Kit PN 68461214AA; includes Transmission Isolator PN 68264483AA, and Adaptation Bracket 68264479AA and Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA Vehicles built after on or after 10/23/2015 will require only the Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA. 2. All 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter.

18-026-142022-08-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Flash: Powertrain System Improvements/Enhancements This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. The following powertrain system improvements/enhancements are included in this software release: Automatic Oil Change Indicator(AOCI) system enhancements that force the use of the severe duty cycle algorithm anytime the PCM is replaced. The vehicle duty cycle information used in the AOCI calculation is stored in the PCM and cannot be recovered/transferred when the controller is replaced. As a result, the severe duty cycle is used in these scenarios to ensure the customer receives a timely oil change required message.

Flash: Surge, Shudder or Pulsation at Highway Speeds This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. This is an optional software update that should only be used in situations where the customer is specifically complaining of the condition described below. A small number of customers may experience a surge, shudder or pulsation type sensation when driving on smooth road surfaces at highway speeds of 40-80 mph (64-129 km/h). Some customers may also describe the sensation similar to that of a fish biting on a fishing line. This is an optional software update that should only be used in situations where the customer is specifically complaining of the above condition. There will be two separate software options displayed on the wiTECH flash tab. The software file released for this SB contains the verbiage ?REFERENCE SB 18-035-14. THIS FLASH TO BE USED ONLY FOR SHUDDER COMPLAINTS?. The other file is the standard software that does not contain improvements for this complaint. If for some reason the customer finds this shudder improvement objectionable, the PCM software may be returned/reflashed to the standard version. If the customer complains of the above condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
