Canada: Transport Canada, as of 2026-10-19
20254632025-09-09. Fuel System. Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel delivery module could fail and cause a loss of engine power while driving. Note: This problem could cause the malfunction indicator light to turn on. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the fuel delivery module.
20245482024-08-15. Label. Issue: On certain vehicles, the tire and loading information label does not list that there is no spare tire in both official languages. The label reads as "NONE" when it should read as "NONE / AUCUN". Canadian regulations require the information to be listed on the label in both English and French. Safety Risk: This error does not affect vehicle safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. The company has corrected the tire and loading information label for all new vehicles.
20243902024-07-03. Seats And Restraints. Issue: On certain vehicles, the connector for the driver and/or passenger-front seat belt buckle sensor(s) could fail and cause the seat airbag(s) to deploy with too much force. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to display on the instrument panel or the seat belt reminder chime and warning light to stay on, even if you're buckled. Safety Risk: An airbag that deploys with too much force could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the connector for the driver and/or passenger-front seat belt buckle sensor(s).
20233122023-05-30. Brakes. Issue: In certain situations, the braking system could apply too much force to the brake rotors. If this happens, the brake rotors could crack and suddenly cause reduced braking. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the brake system module (BSM) software.
20193662019-07-25. Fuel System. Issue: On certain vehicles, the fuel gauge may display the wrong fuel level (higher) when parked on a slope of at least 10 degrees. This could cause a driver to believe there is fuel when the tank is empty. In the worst case scenario, the vehicle could unexpectedly run out of fuel and stall. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module software.
20191102019-03-01. Powertrain. Issue: Under specific driving conditions, the driver may not be able to cancel the adaptive cruise control (ACC) setting. Safety Risk: If the driver does not shift to neutral or apply the brakes to stop the vehicle, this can cause a crash without warning. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the brake system software. Drivers should not use the adaptive cruise control feature until this update is completed.
20185062018-09-14. Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L engine, the catalytic converter could overheat due to engine misfires. The high temperatures generated could damage the surrounding wiring or components, which could result in a loss of motive power and/or increase the risk of a fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the engine control module software to prevent the catalytic converter from overheating.
20185052018-09-14. Engine. On certain vehicles, the coolant hose between the radiator and engine may leak. This could cause the engine to overheat, potentially resulting in a loss of motive power, and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective coolant hose.
20181512018-03-29. Visual System. On certain vehicles, water could enter and cause corrosion to the body control module and/or the A-pillar connector of the module. If corrosion were to occur, it may result in one or more malfunction indicator lamps to illuminate, a loss of windshield wiper function, a loss of all exterior lighting, a loss of horn function and inadvertent turn signal activation. These conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install additional sealing protection around the A-pillar sheet metal joint to the HVAC box to prevent water intrusion.
20181502018-03-29. Electrical. On certain vehicles, water could enter and cause corrosion to the wiring connectors in the rear liftgate wiring harness and the liftgate-opening switches. This could cause an unintended activation and opening of the rear liftgate door, potentially resulting in a loss of unrestrained cargo. Lost cargo may create a hazard for other road users, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will install additional sealing protection to the rear liftgage wiring connectors and switches to prevent water intrusion.
20181162018-03-07. Visual System. Certain vehicles may not comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 104 – Windshield Wiping and Washing System. The front windshield wiping system may be limited to low-speed operation contrary to the requirements of the standard. Low-speed operation may reduce the driver’s visibility under certain conditions, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the wiper motor.
20176612017-12-21. Brakes. Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with contaminated brake fluid reducing the braking performance of the vehicle. This could result in longer stopping distances, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake system and replace it as necessary.
