Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component
TSB 23-22562023-09-01. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Expedition vehicles my exhibit a no restart during auto start-stop operation. This may be due to a software parameter in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
SSM 517642023-07-03. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2023 Explorer/Aviator vehicles equipped with a 3.0L EcoBoost may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and low oil pressure warning in the instrument panel cluster (IPC), with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0521 and/or P0524 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This condition may be caused by an internal oil pressure leak. If pinpoint test E in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 303-01B directs you to the replacement of the oil pump, upon reassembly inspect that the main oil gallery tube (6718) is assembled and aligned properly on the back of the engine front cover. The engine oil gallery seal (00815) must be replaced any time the front cover is removed (per WSM Section 303-01B). The WSM front cover removal and installation procedure is in the process of being updated.
TSB 23-20112023-01-31. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2022 Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304 and/or P0316 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to water build up in the spark plug well(s) which can lead to signs of corrosion on ignition system components. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to resolve the source of all DTCs and to install an engine appearance cover.
SSM 512322023-01-05. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2022 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and a 10R80 transmission may exhibit a buck/jerk sensation that may be perceived as an engine misfire during throttle tip-in between 35-45 MPH (56-72 KPH) and with the transmission in 8th, 9th, or 10th gear. This buck/jerk sensation can be compared to a like vehicle that is equipped with a similar powertrain (engine, transmission, and rear end gear ratio) and driven in the same manner. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will not set because of this condition. If a misfire DTC is present, the DTC should be diagnosed first following the correct diagnostic procedure outlined in the Workshop Manual, Section 303-07B.
TSB 22-23022022-07-28. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2020 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine and an MT-82 manual transmission may experience a loss of movement and/or difficulty shifting. This may be due to excessive wheel hop which is caused by aggressive acceleration at low speeds while using launch control. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the failed components and replace the peak torque limiter.
TSB 22-22802022-07-18. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Mustang GT500 vehicles may experience erratic and harsh shifting at highway speeds and/or perceived lack of power when accelerating from a stop, with a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1601 and/or P061A stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) while using SelectShift. This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
TSB 22-21372022-06-27. Service bulletin. Some 2018-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost and 2020-2021 Expedition/Navigator may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0420 and/or P0430 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to high sulfur content in the fuel. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to de-sulfate the catalytic convertors.
TSB 22-21852022-05-16. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 Mustang vehicles built on or before 21-Apr-2022 and equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0300 and/or P0316 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various strategies within the PCM software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
