What is wrong

Issue:

On certain vehicles, the driver’s seat belt pretensioner anchor may not have been crimped properly. This could cause the seat belt to separate in a crash.

Safety Risk:

A seat belt that separates in a crash could increase the risk of injury.

Corrective Actions:

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the driver’s seat belt pretensioner assembly. It will be replaced as necessary.
