Service bulletins for the 2020 Tesla Model 3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

112 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

On some Model 3 and Model Y vehicles, the Occupant Classification System (OCS) signal might be affected by electrical interference in the seat electrical harness, causing the airbag indicator to display on the touchscreen.
SB-21-18-002-R62022-11-28. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY THERMAL:MANAGEMENT:SOFTWARE. Certain Model 3 and Model Y vehicles may be equipped with refrigerant pressure/temperature (P/T) sensors in the heat pump that can fault over time.
SB22330032022-06-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL:AUTOMATIC (ASC); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some Heat Pump Model 3 vehicles were built without a hydraulic control unit (HCU) wake-up wire, and in rare circumstances, braking and stability control related alerts may appear on the instrument cluster and touchscreen during the vehicle power-on process. Such faults can typically be corrected and the affected functionality restored with a vehicle power cycle.
SB21170072022-05-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. On certain Model S, Model X, and Fremont-built Model 3 vehicles, the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for the RH side repeater camera may lose electrical continuity over time, resulting in premature failure of the camera.
SB21170062022-05-31. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. On certain Model S, Model X, and Fremont-built Model 3 vehicles, the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for the LH side repeater camera may lose electrical continuity over time, resulting in premature failure of the camera.
SB22170042022-05-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. On certain Model S, Model X, and Fremont-built Model 3 vehicles, the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) for the LH and RH side repeater cameras may lose electrical continuity over time, resulting in premature failure of the cameras.
