Flash: 3.0L Powertrain Diagnostic And System Enhancements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. Customers may experience bucking under hard acceleration. In addition customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation a technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: · **P206D-00 - Reductant Quality Sensor Circuit High. · P26AB-00 - Engine Coolant Bypass Valve Stuck. · P050E-00 - Cold Start Engine Exhaust Temperature Too Low. · U3017-00 - Control Module Timer/Clock Performance.** · P026A-00 - Charge Air Cooler Efficiency Below Threshold. · P1296-00 - EGR Slow Response - Increasing Flow. · P20C2-00 - Reductant Heater 3 Control Circuit Performance. · P249C-00 - Excessive Time To Enter Closed Loop Reductant Injection Timing Control. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CRANKCASE (PCV). 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel - Sales Code EXF A crankshaft locking tool marked 630 is installed on all 3.0L EXF long blocks (Lower rear left side of block under starter location). This tool locks the crankshaft at 30? ATDC. Refer to: Valve Timing ? Standard Procedure ? LOCKING ENGINE 30 DEGREE AFTER TDC IN TechCONNECT for further details. This tool must be removed after the the injection pump has been installed on the engine. The tool will be replaced with the engine block plug from the engine being removed. The engine will not turn over with this tool installed.~

Fuel Tank Issue Description: Ram 1500 built between 7/1/16 and 8/15/16 with concern of "hard to fill" or "premature shut off", please remove the Canister line and Recirculation Line and retest. If the condition continues, tank replacement may be required. Please reference the proper diagnostic materials. Answers to the following questions can assist Engineering in their quality improvements: 1) At what level of fuel in the Tank does the Hard to Fill condition exist? 2) When did the customer start experiencing Hard to Fill condition? 3) Did the condition exist in a particular fuel station? If tank replacement is needed, please contact Sylvia Lopez at Cell (248) 520-9734 prior to replacing the Tank. She will help arrange shipment of the tank back to the Quality Engineering Center. If no response within 15 minutes proceed with repairs
