If no response is received within 15 minutes, please continue with repair. Before clearing any codes, please pull Freeze Frame and CamCrank Sync Event Monitor data (instructions below) from the PCM and send the PDF?s to Tom Nies by email: tom.nies@fcagroup.com~ Instructions to access Cam/Crank Sync Event Monitor: - From wiTECH main screen - Monitors tab - OBDII Monitors - Select Cam Crank Synchronization Event Monitor from the list - Should bring up 3 or 4 pages of data - Click on create PDF icon in lower right corner - email PDF to tom.nies@fcagroup.com

Service bulletin. 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel - Sales Code EXF A crankshaft locking tool marked 630 is installed on all 3.0L EXF long blocks (Lower rear left side of block under starter location). This tool locks the crankshaft at 30? ATDC. Refer to: Valve Timing ? Standard Procedure ? LOCKING ENGINE 30 DEGREE AFTER TDC IN TechCONNECT for further details. This tool must be removed after the the injection pump has been installed on the engine. The tool will be replaced with the engine block plug from the engine being removed. The engine will not turn over with this tool installed.~ |
