09-004-172022-09-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Intermittent Engine Shudder While Driving This bulletin involves replacing the engine cylinder heads. A small number of customers may experience a slight engine shudder while driving. They may state that the condition feels and sounds like driving over rumble strips. It may also be perceived as an internal transmission issue or engine misfire. No Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) will set as a result of this condition.

Washer Fluid Level Sensor Prior to replacing this part due to "Low Washer Fluid" tell tale light on the dash and the washer fluid bottle is full, please perform this inspection: Check if float sensor is rotated off location from the bottle anti-rotation features that surround the SENSOR. 5RR541XRA2022-09-15. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Power Fold Rearview Mirror Prior to replacing this part for a loose mirror, please first follow this procedure to reset the pivot mechanism. Move the mirror to its full forward position and then to full retract position using the power fold mirror button located on drivers side door panel. Perform this procedure three times. If this doesn't resolve the issue, then repair as necessary.~ Note: 1- The looseness of power fold mirror does not necessary indicate a defective mirror, it may be caused by folding it manually rather than using the power fold feature. If the mirror is adjusted manually out of the proper detent, always use the button to adjust it back into sync.~ 2- The intended use of the power fold mirrors is by pushing the button to fold and unfold the mirror. Only manually fold the mirrors when absolutely necessary.~ 3- In the circumstance where the left hand mirror and right hand mirror are in different positions, it may take up to three cycles (bottom pushes) to re-sync the mirrors together.

Flash: Transmission Shift Enhancements This bulletin involves flash reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software. The customer may indicate that they may have experienced any of the following: ? 4x4 Low Mode shift quality during a medium to heavy throttle ? MIL Illumination for DTC P215C - OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED WHEEL SPEED CORRELATION In addition, calibration changes have been made in the following areas to improve: ? Powertrain braking while in Tow/Haul mode ? Downshift response from a medium to heavy pedal ? Drivability at high altitude ? Acceleration performance during cruise control operation This calibration release also corrects a condition where DTC U11C3 may have been displayed when DTC U11E3 should have been displayed resulting in a possible misdiagnosis.

A customer may experience the radio display screen is locked on the Ram logo. This software update is to prevent this condition from occurring. Vehicles equipped with satellite radio (sales code RSD) may have a condition were the radio may reset a few times during a drive cycle. This condition is very intermittent.

Transmission Shift Enhancements - Adaptation Drive Learn Procedure This bulletin involves performing a subjective shift quality rating when customers experience poor shift quality and if necessary, performing the transmission adaptation learn procedure. In addition, this bulletin involves performing transmission adaptation learn procedure when the transmission is repaired/replaced and/or the valve body/TCU assembly (mechatronic) is replaced, or when the adaptation memory cells are cleared with the wiTECH diagnostic scan tool. Customers may indicate that their transmission shift quality does not meet their expectations.
25-001-142022-08-29. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Injector Inspection This bulletin involves pressurizing the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) injector line to check for a leak during New Vehicle Preparation. The DEF system may not become functional until the vehicle has been driven for 20 miles at one time. This Bulletin will give the steps necessary to ensure DEF system is not leaking. A very small number of vehicles may experience a DEF fluid leak under the vehicle. Upon further investigation the Technician may find that the DEF injector is broke.
21-011-142022-08-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Flash: Improved Medium to Heavy Throttle Downshift Response This bulletin involves flash reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with new software. Customers may indicate that the vehicle does not downshift quick enough under medium to heavy throttle.
18-025-142022-08-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Flash: Powertrain System Improvements/Enhancements This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. The following powertrain system improvements/enhancements are included in this software release: ? Enhanced Automatic Oil Change Indicator(EAOCI) system enhancements that force the use of the severe duty cycle algorithm anytime the PCM is replaced. The vehicle duty cycle information used in the EAOCI calculation is stored in the PCM and cannot be recovered/transferred when the controller is replaced. As a result, the severe duty cycle is used in these scenarios to ensure the customer receives a timely oil change required message. ? Corrected a generic scan tool display issue regarding Mode 6 data accuracy. ? Improved transmission Quick Learn routine performance (Applies only to DJ vehicles)
90030812022-08-29. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Dielectric Grease This product is no longer approved for use on ignition coil and spark plug boots. Current plug boot material(silicone) is not compatible with this grease and can cause deterioration over time.
