Symptom 2: One or both headlights has/have interior condensation Remedial action 1: The breather hose 95B.941.560.B (without corrugated hose) must be replaced by the breather hose 95B.941.560.C (with corrugated hose). It is important to check that the breather hose is routed without kinks.
122-E2U9F-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCH. Information: The upper front hood latches have a fine adjustment not mentioned in the workshop manual. A fine adjustment to change the depth of the upper latch striker may be made at the bolt shown in the photo above. This is a useful adjustment for front latch issues that cause a warning in the instrument cluster for the front hood being open as well as fine tuning the closed height of the hood.
122-J4C2E-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Concerns: Control unit for air-conditioning system Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. The evaporator for the air-conditioning system on the affected vehicles can freeze at high outside temperatures with high humidity. As a result, the air-conditioning system will no longer cool the vehicle.
122-G4Q9C-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Concerns: All-wheel drive control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is a possibility that the active all-wheel drive system Porsche TractionManagement (PTM) on the affected vehicles will deliver toomuch propulsion force to the front axle when taking off at full load. This can put greater strain on the inner joints of the front drive shafts under certain conditions, e.g. when off-road mode is activated. This can result in noises or vibrations in the front axle area.
122-K2Z9K-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Customer Situation: The airflow from the vents may be reduced dramatically while the blower is still running during extended trips with lower fan speed settings (4 bars and below). Work Procedure: If the customer complains of the above symptom, it is important to verify that the basic necessities for AC operation are in place.
122-Z3L6M-052017-12-22. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Concern: Fault P0299 stored in the DME Information: Fault P0299 is stored when the actual boost level deviates from the specified boost level for greater than 3 seconds. Anything that can cause incorrect boost levels will set this fault, such as leaks in the intake/intercooler system, leaks in the boost control system (i.e. vacuum lines to the diverter valves, pressure converter and vacuum reservoir). All possible fault causes outlined in Guided Fault Finding MUST be addressed. If all of the possible causes are ruled out, then program the DME with PIWIS II software version 15.500 or higher. Some diagnostic hints: Check the freeze frame data of the fault. If the fault occurred at: <2500rpm/<60% engine load, this is most likely a software issue >2500rpm/>60% engine load, this is most likely a hardware issue (i.e. vacuum leak in a boost control line, or disconnected boost hose)
122-T7Y5Q-122017-12-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Information: This document updates information previously published in EQ 1105, EQ 1105, and EQ 1401. To provide stable voltage and sufficient current throughout certain service operations, you should connect the vehicle to a battery charger (sometimes referred to as a power supply). However, you may experience ECU programming and coding issues if the chosen battery charger has insufficient power. Many workshop manuals currently advise use of a battery charger with a 40 or 70 A current rating. However, with the increasing current requirements of modern Porsche vehicles, we recommend a battery charger capable of producing a minimum current of 90 A.
122-H5C4J-122017-12-14. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:WHEEL SPEED SENSOR; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:WHEEL SPEED SENSOR/TONE RING. Information: It is possible that a faulty wheel speed sensor can be the root cause of the multiple warnings. Check the fault memory for the following types of faults for one or more wheel speed sensors. * Sensor Fault * Sensor Electrical Fault * Sensor Implausible Fault
122-N9F6H-012017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Information: The customer complains that certain functions of the front camera are not available at times: * Lane Change Assist not available * Porsche Dynamic Light System not available * Traffic sign recognition not available Cause: Image sensor fault in the front camera. Insufficient contrast causes certain functions to fail at times.
122-L6Q4X-012017-12-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Symptom: The engine will not start at times and the fault code P0607 Control unit faulty is stored in the fault memory. Cause: The DME control unit can become damaged via the electric wires as a result of electrostatic discharge of the throttle housing. Date of Introduction: The optimized throttle housing with insulation has been installed during production since August 24, 2016.
122-C2P3G-102017-11-08. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. There is a possibility that covers on front and rear doors can become loose and start to stick up due to adhesion problems. In the event of a customer complaint, all four covers on front and rear doorsmust be replaced.
122-X5B2V-102017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Due to incorrect fitting of the front hood lock cable, there is a possibility that the cable will rub against the microswitch for the hood lock. This will damage the microswitch. As a result, the warning "Hood open" will be displayed in the instrument cluster.
122-B2R3T-102017-11-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. There is increased friction in the air spring compressor valves at temperatures below ?13° F (?25° C). This can result in a situation in which the maximum control current is not sufficient to actuate the valves. As a result, a warning message will be displayed in the instrument cluster and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) will stop working temporarily. Re-program PASM control unit using the PIWIS Tester with software version 33.010.030 (PIWIS Tester 3) or version 17.100.030 (PIWIS Tester II) or a higher software version installed.
122-L6F9K-072017-10-27. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. If the software versions are no longer compatible, it may no longer be possible for the DME control unit to communicate with the instrument cluster via the gateway control unit.
