Tailgate Lock Dealer Inventory *****Dealer Announcement***** Nissan is conducting a dealer inventory service action on 1,004 specific 2016 Titan vehicles identified in Service Comm to replace components associated with the tailgate lock assembly. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. Nissan requests dealers to remedy the affected vehicles prior to sale to ensure customer satisfaction. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles currently in new dealer inventory are affected by this service action using Service Comm I.D. NTB16-068c2017-08-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. 2016-2017 TITAN XD; TRANSMISSION SHIFT QUALITY ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a Cummins 5.0L V8 Diesel engine. IF YOU CONFIRM Any of the following issues: - When cold (transmission fluid below 140°F [60°C]), there is an engine RPM rise (200 to 500 RPM flare) during the 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, and/or the 3-4 shift. - While slowing to a stop, a 2-1 down shift bump is felt just before stopping. - Harsh up-shifts. - Shift shock when lifting your foot from the accelerator. - Gear hunting while driving in city traffic. ACTION 1. Compare the vehicle?s current TCM part number to the part number listed in Table A on page 7. - If the current TCM part number matches a part number listed in Table A, follow the instructions in Table A. 2. Save computer data with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus). 3. Compare the vehicle?s current ECM part number to the part number listed in Table B on page 30. - If the current ECM part number matches a part number listed in Table B, reprogram the ECM. - Write saved data. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE INFORMATION Some customers may want to use a coolant heater (engine block heater) for their vehicle when ambient temperatures are below 32°F (0°C). 2016 Titan XD: - Some were not equipped from the factory with a coolant heater or cord. - Some were equipped with coolant heater, but not a cord. 2017 Titan XD: Was equipped from the factory with a coolant heater, but some were not equipped with the coolant heater cord. If a customer chooses to purchase the parts and labor for installation of a coolant heater and/or coolant heater cord, use the Service Procedure in this bulletin for installation instructions.

NISSAN; FUEL TANK IS SLOW OR DIFFICULT TO FILL IF YOU CONFIRM The fuel tank is slow or difficult to fill (filling nozzle shuts off before tank is full). NTB17-0102017-08-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. 2016 - 2017 TITAN AND TITAN XD; STEP RAIL END CAP CHROME TRIM AVAILABLE AS SEPARATE PART This bulletin applies only to Crew Cab models. SERVICE INFORMATION The end cap chrome trim (front and rear) on the step rails (running boards) is now available as a separate part (see Parts Information). If the end cap chrome trim needs to be replaced for any reason (fell off, damaged, etc.), replace only the end cap chrome trim. NOTE: - The end cap chrome trim can be replaced without removing the end cap or step pad. - DO NOT replace the entire step rail when only the end cap chrome trim is needed. - Refer to Installation Tips on the next page

ACTION Replace the valve timing control solenoid valve O-ring with a new one using the Service Procedure starting on page 2.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2016-2017 TITAN XD; CORRECT PARKING ANGLE OF VEHICLE WHEN USING ENGINE BLOCK HEATER SERVICE INFORMATION When using the engine block heater (if equipped) on an Applied Vehicle (engine block heater is plugged in): - Vehicle should be parked on a level surfaces. Or - If a level surface is not available, the vehicle should be parked with the front of the truck lower than the rear (nose down). CAUTION: Use of the engine block heater when parked with the front of the vehicle higher than the rear (5 degrees or more) may cause the engine block heater to become damaged and/or inoperative.
