A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Something other than an Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key-Slot. 2. An Intelligent Key issue. 3. A wiring issue between the Key-Slot and the BCM. 4. A Key-Slot issue. If DTC B2190 is stored due to 1 or 2 above, it will not erase, or go to "PAST", until a known good registered Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key-Slot. | NTB14109 | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE. SERVICE INFORMATION Starting with 2010 Model Year, Nissan vehicles have been gradually incorporating a new type of DTC known as Permanent DTC or P-DTC. If a vehicle is equipped with P-DTCs, all emission related DTCs will also set a P-DTC if the MIL is turned ON. A listing of which DTCs that will also set a P-DTC is found in the DTC Index in the EC-Engine Control section of the Electronic Service Manual (ESM). If a DTC repair is performed and the DTC erased, a vehicle may fail an Emission Inspection and Maintenance test if the P-DTC is not also erased. See this bulletin for further detail. |
| NTB14107 | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SERVICE INFORMATION If a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair: * Check for stored DTCs. * Check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating. * Use CONSULT-III plus in Engine Data Monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. Monitor the brake switch during the incident; it should be "OFF". Please see this bulletn for further details. |
| NTB14060A | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; ENGINE. SERVICE INFORMATION A two-piece design front engine mount is currently being used for the applied vehicles listed. A single thunk noise may be heard on the first acceleration of the day from this type of mount and is considered normal operation. The mount has also been designed with built in free-play that is normal. Under normal driving conditions: * A "thunk" noise may be heard on the first acceleration of the day. And * Does not occur again, or at any other time. DO NOT REPLACE THE MOUNT: * If it has free play or a "single event" thunk sound on the first acceleration of the day. This is considered a normal characteristic of this type of engine mount. * If a shift shock condition is present when shifting from park into gear or between any combination of gears. This condition is due to transmissions line pressures and not movement of the mount. NOTE: Refer to the Electronic Service Manual section TM - Transaxle & Transmission for further diagnostic information on shift shock. See this bulletin for further details. |

| NTB14077 | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN. SERVICE INFORMATION The purpose of this bulletin is to clarify language contained in the owner?s manual language for the APPLIED VEHICLES. Future printings of owner?s manuals for the APPLIED VEHICLES will also contain the below language. For the APPLIED VEHICLES: NISSAN recommends using Genuine NISSAN NS-3 CVT Fluid ONLY in NISSAN CVTs. Do not mix with other fluids. Do not use Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) or Manual Transmission fluid in a NISSAN CVT, as it may damage the CVT. Damage caused by the use of fluids other than as recommended is not covered under NISSAN's New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Using fluids that are not equivalent to Genuine NISSAN NS-3 CVT Fluid may also damage the CVT. Do NOT replace the "cap" because it is thought to have a "dipstick". The fluid level is not checked from this location. The fluid level for applied vehicles is checked from the oil pan (refer to the appropriate section of the Electronic Service Manual [ESM]). Whenever checking, filling, or topping off a CVT's fluid level of an applied vehicle for any reason, use the procedure outlined in the appropriate section of the ESM. See this bulletin for further detail. |

SERVICE INFORMATION Related to communication codes U1000, U1001, U1002, U1010: - Always diagnose the communication codes first. - When a module reports a U1000 code, it is typically operating normally; however, there is a communication error external to that module on the CAN network. - U1000 indicates an error. V-CAN diagram or CAN Diag Support Monitor provides data to determine the location of the error. See this bulletin for more information. |
| NTB12118A | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; EQUIPMENT. NOTE - These are the typical conditions in which to duplicate the rear brake squeal/squeak; however, these conditions are not intended to detail all of the possible conditions in which the noise may occur. When attempting to duplicate this noise it is important to have a second person safely standing outside of the vehicle to determine if the noise is coming from the front or rear brakes. ACTION Replace the rear brake pads and the rear brake hardware kit with the parts listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin. - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section BR - Brake System, for removal and installation information. See this bulletin for further detail. |

In the event another wireless device (e.g. aftermarket alarm system) is transmitting at the same time as an I-Key, it can interfere with the I-Key signals being received by the BCM. If there is interference with I-Key signals, the following symptoms may occur: - The I-key is not detected, causing: - The engine to not start (no response when the Stop/Start button is pressed) - "I-Key System Error" displayed in the instrument cluster - "No I-Key Detected" displayed in the instrument cluster - Intermittent operation of the buttons on the remote (Key FOB). - Intermittent operation of the door request switches. If a vehicle has experienced the above symptoms, or a customer has reported the above symptoms, refer to Supplemental Diagnosis / Information in this bulletin. See this bulletin for further detail. |
