Service bulletins for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| LI20.10-P-072886 | 2026-07-27. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Complaint Check Engine Light ON with DTC P012800 "The Coolant Temperature is Below the Specified Temperature" active and/or stored in the ME (N3/10). There are no drivability concerns related to this complaint. Cause Root cause varies Remedy Prior to performing any repairs for this complaint: With a cold engine, pressurize the high temp coolant circuit and while it's under pressure, release the cap on the low temp coolant circuit and check if the pressure drops right away or not. If the pressure drops, the lower coolant hoses are swapped. Correct this, fill, bleed and test drive the vehicle. If the complaint returns, then continue with the steps below. IMPORTANT: Use VMI to check for the following emission extended warranty –> Engine Thermostat (incl. software update) MY19-23, Various Models and Platforms (167, 190, 205, 213, 217, 222, 223, 232, 253, 290, 463) If the vehicle is covered under the above emission extended warranty, please perform steps outlined in the accompanying NCU prior to those outlined in this document. If vehicle is not covered under the above emission extended warranty or the complaint continues to occur, then proceed as follows: Check for available software updates to the ME (N3/10). If updated software is available, perform the update, clear the DTC and the perform each of the "WARM START" and "COLD START" test drives listed below twice. If the code does not re-appear then release the vehicle. If there is no new software available OR the DTC returns after the test drives then perform the following steps: • Drain the coolant through a fine mesh sieve and check for signs of debris. Additionally, inspect the coolant reservoir for debris. If any debris is found take pictures of the reservoir and the mesh filter and "flush" the system at least 2-3 times to clear as much of the debris as possible • Replace the thermostat and bleed the system as outlined in AR20.00-P-1142-04A, evacuate the system for 20-30 minutes instead of the 5 minutes specified in step 22 • NOTE: Please use all the tools specified in the AR document. The DTC will continue to populate if the circuit is not properly bled • NOTE: There are two valid thermostats to choose from in the parts section of this LI. Please verify which PN is applicable for the vehicle being worked on via XENTRY Parts Information • After bleeding the system clear the DTC and perform each of the "WARM START" and "COLD START" test drives listed below twice. | LI15.40-P-077947 | 2025-08-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Complaint Combustion engine could no longer be started, only electric driving possible Cause High-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator defective Remedy Requirement: Before carrying out test work, it must be ensured that the person performing the work has successfully completed the required qualification for work on the high-voltage system. Note: In order to check whether the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator is defective, please carry out the test below. If the fault "P0E2F00 The electrical fuse B for the high voltage has a malfunction" is stored in the N82/10 BMS control unit, the HV protocol must be checked to see whether the fuse for the auxiliary consumers is defective. In this case, the high-voltage battery must be replaced after the short circuit has been eliminated. (See attachment) The defective high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator must always be sent back via the existing return delivery process for analysis. Check: Please disconnect the high-voltage plug at the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator and connect test adapter 000 589 94 63 00. Measure resistance HV+ to HV-. If the final measurement result is between 0–1 ohm, the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator with the short circuit must be replaced. If either one of or both the fault codes P0C0B16 and P0C0B17 are saved in the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator control unit G2/3, please replace the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator, since no short circuit can be measured here and this therefore concerns a hardware defect. Please check the serial number on the silver adhesive label below the SW number on the front of the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator. Example: 2314300044 (the first 10 digits, see attachment) Important note: If the number is greater than 2329100027, a TIPS case must be created. In this instance, please attach the following documents to the TIPS case: • Quick test • High-voltage event log • Picture of the silver adhesive label on the front of the high-voltage belt-driven starter-alternator (serial number) • Attach the measurement results with pictures |
| LI01.40-P-079518 | 2025-07-22. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Complaint Customer complains of oil use, oil leaking or oil smell. Upon inspection oil will be seen at or around the rear of the engine and at the engine/transmission interface. Cause Oil leaking from rear main seal and/or rear main seal plate. Remedy If the rear main seal plate has been previously replaced per the instructions in this LI, open a TIPS case before proceeding. Inspect the rear main seal very carefully. Make sure the seal is not sucked in, rolled, or cut (see pictures in attachments). Confirm the leak location is at the rear main seal and/or rear main seal plate by cleaning the area thoroughly and applying trace powder to the suspected area. Allow the vehicle to run either on a lift or at low speed in a controlled environment (do not attempt at high speed or in wet areas as this will make the results difficult to assess). If the leak is emanating from the seal: replace both air/oil separators. Then clean the bellhousing area completely and test with trace powder again to see if the leak remains. If it doesn't, release the car. If the leak remains pull the rear main seal plate, clean the block mating surface completely and replace the rear main seal plate and rear main seal. When the new seal is installed make sure the sealant path is followed exactly as it is shown per the drawing in the attachments. Apply the sealant to the BLOCK instead of the plate to ensure adequate coverage is attained. After installation lubricate a feeler gauge with oil and run it between the rear main seal and the crank to clear any small debris that may be present and to break any binding or stiction. |
| LI54.21-P-079369 | 2025-05-30. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Complaint The customer complains that there is a humming/droning/throbbing/ear pressure in the interior at low engine speeds (up to 2400 rpm). Cause In the current software state, the EOC system (Active Noise Cancellation), which reduces the humming in the interior, fails permanently, without a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) being stored. Remedy Remedy software available in Xentry: • Vehicles with code 810: SW update ASX (N156/1) and SND (N40/3) control unit • Vehicles with code 811: SW update ASX (N156/1) and SND (N40/3) control unit After the ASX & SND software update, initial start up of the control units must be performed. |
