Some customers may complain about a fuel gauge that fluctuates to a higher level at a stop on inclines, even after a long drive since it was fully refilled. | 01-009-22 | 2022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience a no start because the battery is discharged after the vehicle is parked for more than 8 hours. This may be caused by one or more of the following, resulting in excessive parasitic draw (dark current) on the battery. 1. The vehicle control system may not have gone to sleep because a key fob was left in the vehicle after the ignition switch was turned off and the doors were closed. This is caused by improper BCM control logic which allows a higher parasitic draw (approx. 6A) to continue for approximately 6 minutes until the vehicle control system goes into sleep mode. If the doors are operated frequently for car washing or luggage loading/unloading etc., it prevents the vehicle control system from sleeping during that time. 2. The parking lights may have been left on because the warning sound for lights on is a short ding, and it may not be noticed. 3. [With Full-Auto A/C] The climate control unit may not have gone to sleep because the hazard warning switch was pressed after the ignition was turned off. This is caused by improper control logic of the climate control unit. To correct these concerns: 1. The control software of the body control module (BCM) has been modified to shorten the time until going into the sleep mode to approximately 2 minutes. 2. The control software of the body control module (BCM) has been modified to change the lights on warning sound to a continuous one. 3. The control software of the climate control unit has been modified. |

Drive Safely." displayed in the instrument cluster despite no dirt on the front radar sensor while driving in specific locations as follows: - Roads with continuous elevated road ways on one side or tall walls on one side - Inside tunnels with an overall rounded shape - Roads with no reflective objects around This is caused by inappropriate decision logic of the control software in the front radar sensor. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the front radar sensor has been modified. |

| 09-019-22 | 2022-06-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience one or both of the following symptoms while locking and unlocking the doors works fine using the remote transmitter. * Symptom 1: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not lock the doors after rain and/or car washing, even though unlocking is possible. * Symptom 2: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not unlock the doors. * Cause 1 (for Symptom 1): Water may accumulate around the touch sensor in the outer handle, resulting in temporary lower sensitivity of the capacitive sensor. Also, if car wash foam gets inside the outer handle while washing the vehicle, the foam may disturb the touch sensor detection. Mazda is still working on a mass production change for this concern. * Cause 2 (for Symptom 2): Improper soldering in the production process may disturb the touch sensor detection.
