| SA-040-25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. A New Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF-A7) is being used for some 2023-2026 models. ATF-A7 is an extremely low viscosity formulation with low friction to achieve best-in-class fuel economy and driving performance. For easy identification, ATF-A7 is colored Red and ATF-FZ is colored Blue. There is NO interchangeability between ATF-A7 and ATF-FZ. For CX-30, Mazda3, and CX-5, some 2.5L and all 2.5T engines still use ATF-FZ. Verify the type of ATF according to what is in MGSS (TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE TECHNICAL DATA) or what is marked on the dipstick (see below). |
| SA-039/25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search. |
| SA-038-25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. When replacing the MAZDA CONNECT remote tuner (RT) with a replacement tuner for any reason, a call must be made to inform SiriusXM of the existing Radio ID and the new/replacement SAT Radio ID as soon as possible to ensure the customer leaves the dealership with an active SAT radio. |

| 09-033-25 | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit the following behavior: If the power liftgate (PLG) encounters an obstruction during opening or closing, the jam-safe function is designed to stop the liftgate and reverse it slightly. Normally, pressing the liftgate button (dash, liftgate, or remote) after this happens should cause the liftgate to continue in the reverse direction. Due to a software issue, if the liftgate button is pressed after the jam-safe function is activated, the liftgate may instead continue moving in the direction of the obstruction. This occurs randomly and cannot be predicted. To correct this concern, the control software of the power liftgate control module has been modified to ensure the liftgate always continues in the reverse direction when the opener switch is operated immediately after the jam-safe function is activated. |
| 09-032-25 | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit a clicking noise from the liftgate lock striker when driving on bumpy roads. This may be caused by stick-slip friction between the lock striker and the lock actuator due to the electrodeposition layer peeling off from the friction between them. To eliminate this concern, the lock striker coating has been changed to prevent coating wear. |
| 09-031-25 | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. |
| 09-014-25a | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may exhibit sagging (1) at the front side of the rear sunshade(s) (2) or a difference in tension between the front and rear of the sunshade(s). When the rear sunshade is fully pulled up and then hooked up, the front hook's position may be lower, causing sagging on the front side of the rear sunshade. |

| 09-029-25 | 2025-08-05. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may notice an abnormal noise (i.e. whine, groan, rattle or squeak) coming from the front combination lights when turning them on, or a few minutes after turning them off. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during the manufacturing process and the fan motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate this concern, the fan motor has been modified. NOTE: It is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after starting the engine, when the front combination lights perform a self check (sweep). |
| 02-002-25 | 2025-08-05. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some vehicles may experience a knocking noise from the front suspension when driving on a rough road or traveling over bumps. This noise is caused by a gap between the front strut bump stopper and the mounting rubber that is pushed up when roads are bumpy. To eliminate this concern, the outer diameter of the bump stopper has been modified to prevent the knocking sound during driving on a rough road or traveling over bumps. |
| SA-032-25 | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain about a noisy HVAC blower motor or odor after a cabin air filter replacement. Foreign debris on the blower motor after servicing the cabin air filter may be the cause. During the removal of the cabin air filter, foreign debris (leaves, dust, dirt....ect.) may fall on the blower motor causing a fluttering type noise or odor. |
| SA-031-25 | 2025-07-02. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may report an odor or water in the HVAC system and upon inspection, the cabin air filter may be found to be wet. |

Use the following test procedures in this Service Bulletin to test Mazda vehicle batteries and to generate a Warranty Code. NOTE: A Warranty Code is required for warranty claim submission Battery Identification (Mazda batteries have 2 rating types) 1. JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. 2. CCA (Cold Cranking Amps): CCA ratings are normally located on a sticker affixed to the top of the battery to indicate a battery’s Cold Cranking Amps. CCA rated batteries are supplied with domestically produced vehicles. NOTE: If an incorrect CCA rating is entered into the Mazda DCA-8000, it will result |
| SA-033-25 | 2025-07-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some vehicles may experience a CHECK ENGINE light ON with DTC P0012, P0011, and possibly P0010. This may be caused by a malfunction in the intake EVVT motor that prevents it from accurately regulating the intake camshaft timing. |
| 09-025-25 | 2025-07-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that the rear outer handle is difficult to operate or that it gets stuck when released after being pulled once. This is caused when the rear outer handle and the rear handle bracket swell up from absorbing water and the space between them is reduced, resulting in friction and resistance when returning to the rest position after the handle has been pulled. To eliminate this concern, the rear outer handle and the rear outer handle bracket have been further modified to secure space between them even if the parts absorb water. |
| 07-005-25 | 2025-07-01. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may exhibit a loud vibration noise when the electric A/C compressor is operating. Due to processing variation of the counter-balance bushing (a weight to balance eccentric rotation) installed in the electric compressor, some of the bushing strongly interferes with the shaft, resulting in the humming noise. To eliminate this concern, the machining accuracy of the counter-balance bushing has been improved. |
