Service bulletins for the 2016 Mazda CX-9

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

07-001/222022-04-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:SWITCHES/KNOBS/BUTTONS. Some vehicles may exhibit an unusual noise in the front A/C unit when the recirculate switch is operated. This is caused by a damaged gear in the air intake actuator. Dust and sand adhered to the grease at the air intake link may disturb the movement of the air intake actuator, resulting in the damaged gear. To eliminate this concern, grease application to the air intake link mechanism to the link pin has been reduced.
SA-024-202020-02-27. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. If you encounter sputtering, surging or poor driveability with the following DTCs stored, inspect the MAP sensor connection for corroded terminals (as shown below). Recommend replacing the engine wire harness and MAP sensor. Refer to GEPC for applicable part numbers.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
