| 05-003-20-3725 | 2020-08-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT; ENGINE. Some vehicles may experience the check engine light and automatic transaxle warning light ON with one or more of these DTCs stored in the TCM memory (P0842, P0847, P0872, P0877, P0780, P1738). This is caused by the oil pressure switch A and/or B at the control valve body temporarily or permanently getting stuck due to contamination entering the passage. To correct the problem, some mass production changes have been implemented to reduce contamination and improve the DTC diagnostic logic. |

| 08-001-20-3696a | 2020-07-02. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience the airbag warning light ON with DTC B00A0:09 stored in the SAS control module memory when the battery voltage is low. • DTC B00A0:09 (Occupant classification sensor internal signal output unstable). This concern is caused by the low voltage detection time of the occupant classification sensor (OCS) being too short during cranking, which causes detection of the DTC unnecessarily. The concern occurs more often in colder weather when greater electric current is consumed to start the vehicle. To eliminate this concern, the OCS has been modified to avoid unnecessary DTC detection. NOTE: • Even if the voltage is recovered after the engine is started, the airbag warning light stays ON during the drive cycle. • When the battery voltage becomes stable after the engine is started, the airbag system will operate normally. |
| SA-051-20 | 2020-06-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Some vehicles may experience an engine no start/no crank with either of the following DTC's stored: P0615:12 - Starter relay circuit malfunction B112A:12 - IG2 relay circuit malfunction. This may be caused by water contamination/corrosion at electrical connector C-04 due to: Windshield tint installation: Windshield tint installed to block UV light. The water used during the installation of the tint may run down behind the dashboard. Carefully inspect the windshield to see if window tint has been installed or not. Some window tint film appears clear and is for UV light only. Windshield repair/replacement: Poor windshield sealing during installation can cause an internal water leak. Water may run down behind the dashboard. |
| SA-047-20 | 2020-05-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Be aware that some new AWD vehicles have been found with cracked rear differential cases, as shown below. NOTE: This may affect new vehicles just delivered to the dealer or new vehicles in dealer inventory. |
| 09-019-20-3686 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may find that the liftgate does not close when pressing the power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (A) located on the interior liftgate trim. This may be caused by PLG switch corrosion. Water from condensation may drip onto the switch connector and cause corrosion. |
| 08-001-20-3696 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Some customers may experience the airbag warning light ON with DTC B00A0:09 stored in the SAS control module memory when the battery voltage is low. DTC B00A0:09 (Occupant classification sensor internal signal output unstable). NOTE: Even if the voltage is recovered after the engine is started, the airbag warning light stays ON during the drive cycle. When the battery voltage becomes stable after the engine is started, the airbag system will operate normally. |
| 01-007-20-3691 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit engine overheating and poor A/C performance with DTC P111A:00 stored in memory. • DTC P111A:00 - Engine coolant temperature is high. NOTE: If the concern occurred during high speed driving, this Service Information is not applicable. Diagnose concern according to MGSS online. This concern may be due to improper control module software, which causes the cooling fan to run improperly, resulting in high coolant temperature. The fan control module is integrated into the cooling fan component. |
| 01-006-20-3695 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicle may exhibit a tapping noise from the engine during idling; etc., and synchronized to the engine rpm. The tapping noise may be caused by the switchable hydraulic lash adjuster (HLA), which may not work properly due to air bubbles accumulated in the oil passage in it. |
| SA-041-20 | 2020-04-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain about incorrect MAZDA CONNECT clock time. This may be caused by an incorrect clock GPS Sync setting. |
| SA-037-20 | 2020-04-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA. Some vehicles may have one of the following DTCs stored in memory: • C1001:92 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) poor field of view • B14F0:92 - General temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC) DTC C1001:92 or B14F0:92 set as a past record for low visibility of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. • In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). • In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern. NOTE: Instrument Cluster Multi-Information Display Warning Messages vary depending on vehicle year/model. See the Owner's Manual for details. |
| SA-036-20 | 2020-04-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. The owner’s manual contains procedures and precautions for the maintenance and cleaning of plastic parts, like the brand emblem. However, it is still important to remind customers about these precautions. Customers should never use inadequate, harsh or aggressive cleaning products on plastic parts. CAUTION: Be aware that when cleaning the brand emblem, never use cleaning products that are highly acidic/alkaline detergent, organic solvents or those with aggressive chemical products, otherwise, the brand emblem may become cracked and/or deformed (as shown in the example below). Always refer customers to the owner’s manual for proper cleaning using cold or lukewarm water and a mild, neutral detergent. |
| SA-035-20a | 2020-04-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some customers may experience the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON with DTC P0126:00 (Thermostat stuck open) and one or more of the following symptoms: • The engine takes longer to warm up. • The engine temperature gauge fluctuates. • The low coolant temperature indicator (blue) light stays on longer or comes on while driving. • Poor heater performance, especially at idle. |
| SA-025-20a | 2020-04-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. A valve tapping or knocking noise may be heard from the top end after the engine cools down (the vehicle is parked overnight) or after it has been idling for an extended time. The tapping noise will decreases as the vehicle is being driven or if the rpm is held above 2500 -3000 RPM. This may be caused by the valve Hydraulic Lifters (HLA) bleeding down as the engine cools or when the engine has been idling for an extended period of time, creating excessive valve lash clearance. |
| 04-005-20-3687 | 2020-04-03. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some vehicles may exhibit a squeak noise from the rear brakes while braking lightly. The squeak noise may occur more frequently when driving at slow speeds. The noise is caused by poor contact between the guide plate and the mounting support. |
| 00-001-20-3689 | 2020-04-03. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle systems. Mazda recommends dealers follow the scheduled maintenance tables as cited in the vehicle specific workshop manual or owner's manual. Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers. |
| 09-011-20-3644 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some vehicles may exhibit power outer mirror(s) that do not fold in and/or out when using the outer mirror switch. This concern may be caused by insufficient water tightness, allowing water to enter the electric folding unit resulting in corrosion damage. To eliminate this concern, the overlapping area (1) of the water-proof seal (inside electric fold-in unit) has been extended. |
| 04-003-20-3668 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some vehicles may exhibit grooves (1) in rear brake disc plate(s), as shown below. This concern is mostly found on new or low mileage vehicles, when the brakes are new. The grooves may be caused through abrasion from the accumulation of metal particles from the rear brake disc plates. The metal particles get caught between the brake pads and disc plates causing groove damage. To eliminate this concern, the disc plate surface honing process has been changed to reduce metal particle formation. |
| 02-004-20-3685 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Some automotive cleaning products contain strong acid or alkali. When these types of cleaners are used to clean the wheels on Mazda vehicles, the chemicals contents penetrate the clear coating of the wheel surface and damage the paint under the clear coating. The damaged area has the appearance of dark stains. |
| 01-003-20-3654 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING.
