Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda CX-5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 5421K | 2022-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. There is a SCR/ AWD harness that has a unique routing, over the SCR tank cover. Over time, contamination (i.e. sand, dirt) on the SCR/AWD harness may cause wear on the harness wiring and insulation due to vibration of the SCR tank cover. In the worst-case scenario, the electrical circuits in the wiring harness can be disconnected with the MIL/SCR/4WD warning lights illuminating. Inspect the SCR/AWD harness for signs of damage. If the CORE WIRES inside the harness have no damage, protective shrink tubing will be installed on the harness. If CORE WIRE damage is found in the harness, the harness will be repaired with supporting parts. |
