Service bulletins for the 2021 Mazda CX-30

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SA-043-262026-08-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. This SA supersedes the previously issued SA(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. SA-063/24 09/06/24 DESCRIPTION The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system can malfunction with the following symptoms if the rear side radar sensors are installed facing the wrong direction.
SA-025-252025-06-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some vehicles may exhibit wiper blade contact with the A-pillar trim, with or without a chattering noise. This condition may be caused by worn or contaminated wiper blades. It can also be caused by bent wiper arms, or loose wiper arm retaining nuts due to improper handling. Improper handling occurs when pulling on or forcing the wiper arms. Technicians should be aware that while replacement of the wiper blade may resolve some cases, correction of bent components or repositioning of the wiper arms, particularly when the retaining nut is loose, requires additional steps to ensure proper alignment and function.
SA-079-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain about color discrepancies (brightness differences) of the image displayed on the screen when using the 360°view monitor. As this phenomenon is not a system failure, do not make any repairs or replace any parts.
SA-059-232023-11-01. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When the power windows are operated many times without being fully closed, small errors of the window position sensor may accumulate and cause improper operation of the jam-safe function. To reduce the risk of this occurrence, the AUTO function is disabled if the power window is operated 10 consecutive times without being fully closed (turning the ignition OFF and then ON does not reset the counting). If the power window is fully closed before the 10th time, the counting restarts and the AUTO function is not deactivated.
SA-039-23a2023-10-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
09-030-232023-08-03. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience “Ultrasonic sensor malfunction” warning message displayed in the instrument cluster when driving or at a stop. The warning message continues until the ignition is turned off. Upon inspection, one or more of following DTC are detected in the parking assist unit (ultrasonic).
09-014-23a2023-08-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES. Some vehicles may experience white-streak stains appearing on the front door that look like they seeped out from under the outer mirror base. This is caused by water intruding from gaps of the outer mirror body and/or the hinge of the outer mirror, and corrosion occurring on the aluminum die-cast inner base in the outer mirror. Water, including white-salty corrosion, may drip out from gaps under the outer mirror base resulting in white stains on the front door. To eliminate this concern, the front outer mirror inner base has been modified.
SA-012-232023-04-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM; VISIBILITY. Some customers may report an odor or water in the HVAC system and upon inspection, the cabin air filter may be found to be wet.
09-014-232023-03-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; VISIBILITY.
07-004-22b2023-01-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some customers may complain the A/C blows warm. This may be caused by one of two things. Cause 1: After accelerating in hot weather, the A/C blows warm air for a longer time than other models. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM not allowing the A/C compressor to resume properly after acceleration. During a hard acceleration above a certain throttle level opening, the PCM stops the A/C compressor operation for better acceleration. It then resumes the compressor operation after the acceleration. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the PCM has been modified. Cause 2: Insufficient cooling performance at ambient temperature of around 68 °F (20 °C) in daytime. This is caused when both the ambient temperature and the cabin temperature are at around 20 °C (68 °F), auto A/C set at around 20 °C (68 °F) may not cool down the cabin temperature properly. To eliminate this concern, control software of the dash-electrical supply unit (Dash-ESU) has been modified.
SA-074-222022-12-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain the HVAC system not maintaining the correct temperature or the ambient (outside) temperature reading incorrectly. This is caused by a failure in the ambient temperature sensor. To correct this issue, the ambient temperature sensor has been modified.
09-042-222022-11-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some vehicles may exhibit windshield glass distortion or a double-image from the active driving display. These may be due to a) distortion in the windshield glass not properly removed during the manufacturing process or b) glass with incorrect specifications used in the manufacturing process. To eliminate these concerns, the windshield glass manufacturing process has been modified.
SA-052-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain that their interior rear view mirror fell off and/or will not stay in place after it is reinstalled. This is due to some mirrors having lower tension on the retaining clips. To eliminate this concern, there was a change in production
SA-053-212021-12-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; EQUIPMENT. A customer may complain of poor A/C operation (either completely inoperative or not cold enough).
09-035-21-38422021-12-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY.
SA-038-212021-11-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; VISIBILITY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ADAS:BLINDSPOT:SENSORS; EQUIPMENT. The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system can malfunction with the following symptoms if the rear side radar sensors are installed facing the wrong direction. BSM system indicates vehicle on the opposite side. i-ACTIVSENSE indicator ring will not turn green, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) does not work, Rear side radar sensor aiming may fail, TPMS DTC(s) stored.
09-031-21-38312021-10-31. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; VISIBILITY; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR; EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates. This is due to a structural gap between the outer glass mirror holder and the mirror glass causing the mirror to vibrate when the vehicle body vibrates at high speeds. To eliminate this concern, double sided tape has been applied between the outer glass mirror holder and the mirror glass.
SA-040-212021-07-01. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
MT-003-212021-06-29. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building. This may be caused by the suns reflection. If a building creates enough of a curve with a series of flat windows, which act like mirrors, the reflections all converge at one point, focusing and concentrating the light onto the street below.
SA-026-212021-04-26. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY.
