Service bulletins for the 2020 Mazda CX-30

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

09-028-232023-08-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Some CX-5 and CX-30 customers may find that the liftgate does not close when pressing the power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (A) located on the interior liftgate trim. This may be caused by PLG switch corrosion. Water from a high pressure car washer and/or condensation may drip onto the switch connector and cause corrosion. To eliminate this concern, the PLG rear switch has been modified with a waterproof connector.
09-015-23a2023-08-03. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may notice an abnormal noise (i.e. whine, groan, rattle or squeak) coming from the front combination lights when turning them on, or a few minutes after turning them off. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during the manufacturing process. The fan motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate the noise, the production process at the supplier and the material has been modified. NOTE: It is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after starting the engine, when the front combination lights perform a self check (sweep).
09-014-23a2023-08-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES. Some vehicles may experience white-streak stains appearing on the front door that look like they seeped out from under the outer mirror base. This is caused by water intruding from gaps of the outer mirror body and/or the hinge of the outer mirror, and corrosion occurring on the aluminum die-cast inner base in the outer mirror. Water, including white-salty corrosion, may drip out from gaps under the outer mirror base resulting in white stains on the front door. To eliminate this concern, the front outer mirror inner base has been modified.
09-012-23b2023-08-03. Service bulletin. SEATS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain that the seat warmer does not operate when turning the ignition on while the seat is warm but when turning the ignition off then on again, the seat warmer begins to operate appropriately. DTCs B1030:13 and/or B1032:13 are stored. This is caused by the seat warmers fail-safe mode which prevents it from working during the initial drive cycle. To correct this issue, the seat warmer has been modified to optimize the temperature control. B1030:13 Seat warmer unit (LH) circuit malfunction (Heater side) B1032:13 Seat warmer unit (RH) circuit malfunction (Heater side)
SA-037-232023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A new cylinder head assembly for service parts has been newly established for SKYACTIV-G 2.5 with cylinder deactivation when replacement is needed. Valves, valve springs, valve spring seats, and cotters (IN/EX) are included in the new assembly. Dealers can now utilize the Limited Parts Ordering (LPO) page on eMDCS to order the repair parts for 2.5L (with cylinder deactivation) and 2.5L turbo cylinder head repairs. Hotline and MASH authorization is not required to order parts for performing this repair. If there are any questions on part ordering or part status, contact the DAG group for assistance.
SA-036-232023-07-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT. Interior parts made of resin have antistatic coating to prevent dust from sticking on the surfaces, and depending on the conditions of use, the antistatic components may crystallize slightly, giving an appearance of white stains on the surface. To remove the stains, wipe the stained surface with a towel soaked with water mixed with a small portion of a neutral detergent. If the white stains reappear again, simply wipe them again in the same way. NOTE: The antistatic effect does not deteriorate with this procedure.

To eliminate this concern, the shape of the drive belt auto tensioner damper has been changed.
