SA-052-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain that their interior rear view mirror fell off and/or will not stay in place after it is reinstalled. This is due to some mirrors having lower tension on the retaining clips. To eliminate this concern, there was a change in production
16-004-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain that Mazda Connect does not start or that it takes a long time to restart after starting the vehicle. This is caused by the initialization process with the CMU failing at startup due to a defective circuit board element. To eliminate this concern, the internal hardware of the CMU has been improved.
16-001-22c2022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience the symptoms mentioned below, which can be fixed with the latest software update (Version 7000C0A-NA01_12002 or later).
09-034-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about a fuel gauge that fluctuates to a higher level at a stop on inclines, even after a long drive since it was fully refilled. This is caused by improper control software of the body control module (BCM). To eliminate this concern, the control software of the BCM has been modified.
09-027-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When replacing the body control module (BCM), some ECUs may need reprogramming. Without reprogramming the concerned ECUs, the power saving function may not work properly.
09-004-22a2022-09-06. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES. Some CX-5 and CX-30 customers may find that the liftgate does not close when pressing the power liftgate (PLG) rear switch located on the interior liftgate trim. This may be caused by PLG switch corrosion. Water from a high pressure car washer and/or condensation may drip onto the switch connector and cause corrosion. To eliminate this concern, the PLG rear switch has been modified with a waterproof connector. Some Mazda3, CX-30 and MX-30 customers may complain that the vehicle door locking system does not work when the door lock switch on the liftgate interior trim is pressed. DTC B11C4:23 (BCM - liftgate lock switch circuit malfunction) may be stored. This may be caused during a high pressure car wash and/or condensation. Water may enter through the rear center brand emblem base component and drip onto the switch connector causing corrosion. The rusted connector may also cause a battery drain. To eliminate this concern, the rear center brand emblem base has been modified to prevent water entry (Mazda3) and the rear harness has been modified to prevent water infiltration (Mazda3, CX-30 and MX-30).
01-009-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience a no start because the battery is discharged after the vehicle is parked for more than 8 hours. This may be caused by one or more of the following, resulting in excessive parasitic draw (dark current) on the battery. 1. The vehicle control system may not have gone to sleep because a key fob was left in the vehicle after the ignition switch was turned off and the doors were closed. This is caused by improper BCM control logic which allows a higher parasitic draw (approx. 6A) to continue for approximately 6 minutes until the vehicle control system goes into sleep mode. If the doors are operated frequently for car washing or luggage loading/unloading etc., it prevents the vehicle control system from sleeping during that time. 2. The parking lights may have been left on because the warning sound for lights on is a short ding, and it may not be noticed. 3. [With Full-Auto A/C] The climate control unit may not have gone to sleep because the hazard warning switch was pressed after the ignition was turned off. This is caused by improper control logic of the climate control unit. To correct these concerns: 1. The control software of the body control module (BCM) has been modified to shorten the time until going into the sleep mode to approximately 2 minutes. 2. The control software of the body control module (BCM) has been modified to change the lights on warning sound to a continuous one. 3. The control software of the climate control unit has been modified.
SA-050-222022-09-06. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES. Some customers may complain that their liftgate does not open. This can mean a range of things, from the liftgate not unlatching to the power liftgate (PLG) not opening automatically. If you confirm that the customer's concern is that the liftgate does not unlatch correctly, follow the repair information below

Some vehicles may exhibit the warning messages "Safety and Driver Support Systems Temporarily Disabled" or "Front Radar Obscured. Drive Safely." displayed in the instrument cluster despite no dirt on the front radar sensor while driving in specific locations as follows: - Roads with continuous elevated road ways on one side or tall walls on one side - Inside tunnels with an overall rounded shape - Roads with no reflective objects around This is caused by inappropriate decision logic of the control software in the front radar sensor. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the front radar sensor has been modified.

09-019-222022-06-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience one or both of the following symptoms while locking and unlocking the doors works fine using the remote transmitter. * Symptom 1: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not lock the doors after rain and/or car washing, even though unlocking is possible. * Symptom 2: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not unlock the doors. * Cause 1 (for Symptom 1): Water may accumulate around the touch sensor in the outer handle, resulting in temporary lower sensitivity of the capacitive sensor. Also, if car wash foam gets inside the outer handle while washing the vehicle, the foam may disturb the touch sensor detection. Mazda is still working on a mass production change for this concern. * Cause 2 (for Symptom 2): Improper soldering in the production process may disturb the touch sensor detection. To eliminate this concern, the production process has been modified.
