Service bulletins for the 2025 Lincoln Navigator

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 543442025-11-12. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 24-inch wheels from the factory may experience vibrations felt at highway speeds that have been isolated to the wheel/tire assemblies. This may be due to tire flat-spotting. Dealers should refer to Pinpoint Test G located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 204-04A, for help with diagnosing this condition. If Pinpoint Test results conclude that any tires require replacement, replace all four tires on the vehicle with the new factory tire design. The new factory tire design can be identified as Goodyear part number 102224387 / Department of Transportation (DOT) alphanumeric code 1M69B JA3R (this can be found on the tire's sidewall). If the vehicle is already equipped with the new tire design, only replace individual tires as needed. To order the new tire on the Tire Sales Tool website, click on the Search By: Part Number link, located under the Find button > in the Part # field, enter 102224387 > in the Prefix field, Select 9001 / Goodyear / Cooper / Dunlop / Kelly. The previous version of the factory Goodyear tire (DOT 1M69B JA2R) must
SSM 543352025-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. 2025 Expedition (Active/Tremor/Platinum)/Navigator vehicles have a feature which allows the key fob splitgate button to open only the liftgate when pressed. Some vehicles may exhibit both the liftgate and tailgate opening (following a key fob button press) after the vehicle has been off for a minimum of 5 minutes regardless of feature setting. The system will work correctly when the vehicle has not been asleep for longer than 5 minutes or if the vehicle is powered on. This may be due to the software in the rear gate trunk module (RGTM) and accessory protocol interface module (APIM). Replacing components will not resolve this issue. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via a software update delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected by the end of Q1 2026. The software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update by April 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS)
SSM 543252025-10-28. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P161D in the powertrain control module (PCM) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. If there are no observable customer symptoms with the vehicle, no further action is required. Replacement and/or programming of the PCM will not resolve this condition. If there is an observable symptom, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.
SSM 543172025-10-28. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM. Some 2021-2025 F-150, 2022-2025 Expedition/Navigator, 2023-2025 F-Super Duty, 2024-2025 Ranger and 2026 Transit vehicles may exhibit a discharged battery and/or a no crank/no start condition. The vehicle may also exhibit a clicking noise from the trailer module (TRM) while the vehicle is off. This may be due to software in the TRM.<br /><br />Verify the TRM software part number in the vehicle using Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to be PC3T-19J297-BF, PC3T-19J297-FF, ML3T-19J297-CD or ML3T-19J297-GD. To confirm a vehicle is equipped with a certain software level, review the software information by hovering over the "Diagnostics" tab in Professional Technician System (PTS) and selecting "Vehicle Software". If one of the listed software part numbers is present, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the TRM. For vehicles with any other software part number in the TRM, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-01 to continue with normal diagnostics outside of this article. For claiming use causal part 19H332 and labor operation 12651D and 12651D4 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS)
SSM 543132025-10-28. Service bulletin. LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2020-2025 various Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern.
SSM 542932025-10-22. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a rear "Liftgate And Tailgate Ajar" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) at all times and/or an inoperative power liftgate or tailgate. This may be due to a pinched harness under the 3rd row left-hand seat belt retractor bracket. Inspect the left-hand seat belt retractor bracket prior to starting tailgate and liftgate ajar diagnostics. If a harness pinch is identified, repair as necessary using the wiring and connector repair procedures contained in Cell 005 of the Wiring Diagram. For claiming, use causal part number 14C719 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D45WR.
SSM 542922025-10-22. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025 Expedition and Navigator vehicles may experience a power tailgate not power opening and/or closing with a liftgate/tailgate ajar light on and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B1457:29, B1459:29, B17CB:11, B17CB:29, B15E9:11 and/or B15E9:29 stored in the rear gate trunk module (RGTM). If these DTCs have been set in the RGTM, the power tailgate will not open or close when commanded. This may be due to misadjusted tailgate latch(s) preventing the RGTM from receiving input from the latches that the tailgate is latched. To correct this condition, perform the tailgate latch adjustment procedure in the Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-03, Steps 12 through 23. Once the adjustment procedure is performed, clear DTCs and retest.
TSB 25-24852025-10-22. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a whistle/humming noise from the right side of the instrument panel when the climate control system is in recirculation mode and driving at highway speeds. This may be due to an air leak through the air inlet housing.

SSM 542532025-10-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit a condition where the instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays an unexpected Watch the Road warning while using BlueCruise with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored related to the driver-assist systems. This may be due to the steering column tilt angle, driver seat position (height and backrest angle) and/or the software within the driver status monitor camera (DSMC). Replacing components is not expected to resolve this issue. Optimize driver head position by adjusting the steering column tilt angle and driver seat position (height and backrest angle) to ensure the DSMC (mounted on top of the steering column) has a clear view of the drivers entire face from chin to forehead. The driver must view the IPC display above the steering wheel and not be able to see the IPC display through the openings of the steering wheel from the seated position. Provide both Expedition and Navigator customers with a printout of the Lincoln Navigator Owners Manual page titled, Lincoln BlueCruise > How Does BlueCruise Work. The Expedition Owner's Manual is in process
SSM 542502025-10-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2024-2025 Escape Hybrid/Maverick Hybrid/Nautilus Hybrid/F-150 non-Lightning/F-Super Duty/Bronco and 2025 Expedition/Navigator/Ranger vehicles where customers have installed an aftermarket supplemental braking system may experience a discharged 12-volt battery after recreational towing. This may be due to the supplemental braking system keeping the vehicle awake during brake applications. Advise customers that while recreational towing the vehicle with a supplemental braking system installed, it is recommended to use a 12-volt battery charger connected to a power source external to the vehicle being towed. The Owners Manual is in process of being updated with this information.

SSM 541762025-09-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles built on or before 27-Jun-2025 may exhibit a condition where the door upper moulding(s) on any of the four doors contact and damage the paint located under the upper-most portion of the B-pillar applique(s). This may be due to a lack of buffer material between the moulding(s) and the door surface. Inform the customer that Ford is aware of the concern and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected to be announced by 30-Nov-2025. This concern does not affect vehicle durability and the customer can continue to drive the vehicle. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule a service appointment for the customer once the repair becomes available.
SSM 541562025-08-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with one-touch up/down front windows may exhibit a window not responding to one-touch controls, does not open all the way and/or bounces back when using the one-touch close function. This may be due to a calibration parameter in the driver door module (DDM) and/or passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. If the symptom remains, refer to WSM, Section 501-11 for normal diagnostics outside of this article.
