SSM 539932025-07-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025 Aviator/Navigator vehicles equipped with a 24 channel audio digital signal processing module (DSP) (minor feature code IDBBN) may exhibit a no audio/sound condition with no communication with the DSP. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This concern may be due to the software in the DSP. To determine if it is a software concern, remove the DSP fuse, F40 for Aviator or F5 for Navigator, and inspect the fuse for an open and make sure the fuse has proper blade contact. After one minute, reinstall the good fuse. If the concern is still present or a fuse concern is found, continue with normal Workshop Manual diagnostics, Section 415-00 Information and Entertainment System > General Information > Diagnosis and Testing. If communication has been re-established with the DSP, reprogram the DSP using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 18B849
SSM 539662025-06-24. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021-2025 Ford/ Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC4 may not be able to perform an update to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM). This may be due to the software in the APIM. Ford Engineering has de-activated the ability to update these SYNC4 APIM modules as applicable, and the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will not present an update for the APIM module. Some existing directed repairs may be impacted, check Professional Technician System (PTS) before attempting any specific technical service bulletin (TSB)/special service message (SSM) and check field service action (FSA) landing pages before attempting any FSA repairs. For any vehicle repairs requiring a software update that includes an APIM update in the programming sequence, if the 5-digit product code for the APIM software is equal to or lower than 23187, do not attempt to update affected modules at this time. To determine the 5-digit product code for the APIM software on the vehicle, while the vehicle center display screen is powered up with ignition in run or accessory, go to Settings > General > About SYNC.
SSM 539602025-06-24. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 24 inch wheels from the factory may experience vibrations felt at freeway speeds that have been isolated to the wheel/tire assemblies. This may be due to tire flat spotting. Dealers should refer to the all-new Pinpoint Test G located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 204-04A, for help with diagnosing this condition. The currently available original equipment tire design has not changed. If flat spot occurrences continue after tire replacement, inform customers that driving the vehicle more frequently and minimizing the duration of time the vehicle remains stationary/parked will help to reduce flat spot occurrences. Returning vehicles with flat spot concerns must be diagnosed and repaired using Pinpoint Test G (referenced above). Engineering is investigating with the tire supplier and expects updates to be available in Q4 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for updates.
SSM 539552025-06-24. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SEATS. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 3rd row power seats may experience an inoperative power fold condition when a seat control switch button is pressed (3L, Center or 3R). This condition may be caused by an obstruction detected during a prior power fold event, triggering a protective lockout. 3rd row seat power fold function may be restored with the following relearn procedure: 1. Start the vehicle and open the tailgate. 2. Remove all items from the 2nd and 3rd row seats including any obstructions that can prevent from folding/unfolding. 3. Slide the 2nd row seats forward. 4. Press and hold the center 3rd power fold seat control button (located between 3L and 3R) for 1 minute. The seats will begin to move. 5. Continue holding the center button for an additional 5 seconds after the seats have stopped moving. 6. Press the 3L and 3R buttons independently to verify that the seats are folding properly. If the inoperative condition remains, continue with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10C. The Owner's Manual and WSM have been updated with this revised procedure.
SSM 538912025-06-19. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with PRBs do not deploy the running boards in auto mode when the easy entry/exit setting for "Approach Detection" is toggled on. This is a change from prior models. Easy entry/exit under Settings in the vehicle's center display screen incorrectly indicate PRBs will deploy if the approach detection is set to ON. This will be changed in a future Digital Experience software update. The Workshop Manual and Owners Manual are also being corrected to explain proper operation of PRBs during Approach Detection.
SSM 538802025-06-11. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2024-2025 Nautilus, 2025 Explorer/Aviator/Expedition/Navigator vehicles may occasionally require a hard reset of the Ford/Lincoln Digital Experience system. To perform a hard reset, press and release the volume button on the center console 5 times within 7 seconds. Some Nautilus vehicles with older level software, may require the volume button to be pressed and held for at least 5 seconds. The Owners Manual is in process of being updated with this information.
SSM 538782025-06-11. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2021-2025 Expedition/Navigator and 2021-2025 F-150 non-Lightning/non-PowerBoost vehicles may exhibit a rattle/scraping noise from the bellhousing area on start-up. This may be due to the torque converter studs contacting the engine to transmission spacer plate (separator plate). To correct this condition, inspect the engine to transmission spacer plate and torque converter studs for wear/damage. If wear/damage is found, replacement of the torque converter is not necessary. Replace only the engine to transmission spacer plate. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 303-01 > Engine to Transmission Spacer Plate for full spacer plate removal and installation. When reinstalling the starter motor, make sure the starter is flush with the engine to transmission spacer plate prior to tightening the studbolts. Failure to do so may result in damaging the newly installed engine to transmission spacer plate.
SSM 538772025-06-11. Service bulletin. SEATS. 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with 3rd row power seats are delivered with a hang tag affixed to the passenger 3rd row seat head restraint. This hang tag provides information about resetting the seats if the 3rd row power seating does not fold/unfold due to an obstruction. Make sure that this hang tag stays affixed to the headrest when a vehicle is delivered to the customer.
SSM 538742025-06-11. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3012:68 stored in the ABS module. The vehicle may also exhibit any of the following symptoms: a soft brake pedal following vehicle start-up, various brake system illuminated warning lamps and/or brake-related messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to a controller area network (CAN) communication concern within the ABS module. To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 2005 and applicable labor operations in Section 02 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
