2020-02-11. Suspension. Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear suspension toe link(s) could break. This could cause a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Note: Vehicles previously repaired under Ford Campaign 19R01 or 19S18 do not require repair under this recall. For the Taurus model, only the SHO Performance Package model is included in this recall. Safety Risk: A loss of vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to install improved rear suspension toe links.
|---|---|
2019-06-11. Suspension. Issue: On certain vehicles, a buildup of dirt and mud could cause the rear suspension toe links to break. This could result in a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Note: This problem affects vehicles operated in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The unique soil properties in this region could make a toe link more likely to break. Safety Risk: A loss of stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to install improved rear suspension toe links.
2016-08-23. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the fuel pump electric module may be damaged due to high electrical current loads. This could cause the fuel pump to stop operating, which would result in the engine stalling or failing to start. A loss of motive power could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the fuel pump electric module. Note: Failure of the fuel pump electric module would cause the malfunction indicator light to illuminate.
2015-03-24. Electrical. On certain limousine and hearse prep package vehicles, a vacuum pump relay internal fault could result in overheating of the relay. Additionally, the underhood vacuum pump relay connector is not sealed to prevent water and road contamination. Over time, the relay internal fault or connector contamination can increase the potential of a resistive short which could cause the relay to overheat, potentially resulting in an underhood fire causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will replace the vacuum pump relay with an electro-mechanical relay.
2015-01-28. Structure. Certain vehicles built without 3rd row seats fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210.1 - User-ready Tether Anchorages for Restraint Systems. The tether anchors are located at the base of the second row seat frames, and are covered by a cargo management load floor system. The cargo management load floor system is not marked with pictograms identifying the location of the tether anchors, which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. Correction: Dealers will replace the cargo management load floor with one that has the required identification symbol.
2014-07-03. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the right-side halfshaft retention clip may not have been fully engaged, and could allow the halfshaft to separate. If this were to occur while the vehicle is being driven, it could result in a loss of motive power. If this were to occur while the vehicle is parked on an incline without the parking brake applied, it could result in unintended vehicle movement. Both situations could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect halfshafts for full retention and affect repairs as necessary.
2013-05-29. Fuel System. On certain vehicles, the fuel delivery module may develop a crack which could allow fuel to leak. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module.
