Service bulletins for the 2014 Kia Sorento

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

TSBENG083_R12019-02-19. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. TSB: SPECIAL SERVICE INFORMATION & SPECIFICATIONS FOR GDI HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. This bulletin provides information relating to all Kia vehicles equipped with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines. In these engines highly pressurized gasoline is injected via a common fuel rail and injectors that deliver fuel directly into the combustion chamber of each cylinder. In comparison, in a conventional Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPI) engine, the gasoline is injected into the intake port of each cylinder at a relatively low pressure. Due to high fuel pressure in a GDI system, servicing the GDI system requires special attention and handling procedures. This bulletin provides special service information and specifications for the GDI fuel system components.
PS476_R12018-04-16. Service bulletin. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. PITSTOP - INTERMITTENT LACK OF POWER OR HESITATION UPON ACCELERATION - RESTRICTED FUEL LINE - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. Customers may experience an intermittent lack of power or hesitation upon acceleration. The malfunction indicator lamp may not illuminate or DTC P0087 may be stored (history). This is possibly due to a restricted low pressure fuel line.
TSB-FUE0332017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLING/CHARGING. TSB: FILL LEVEL LIMIT VALVE REPLACEMENT - This bulletin provides information related to the fill level limit valve (FLLV) replacement on some Sorento (XMa) vehicles, produced from December 17, 2012 to December 11, 2014, which may exhibit a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) illuminated in the Electronic Control Module (ECM) with system-related DTC: P0455. To correct this concern, follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin. Replacement of fuel tank is not necessary.
PS3562017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. PITSTOP: HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL LINE COMPATIBILITY - When replacing the High Pressure Fuel Pump of some 2014MY Sorento (XMa) vehicles equipped with the 2.4L GDI engine and produced prior to July 26, 2013, refer to the table below to determine compatibility between the feed tube connector on the end of the fuel line and the High Pressure Fuel Pump, as installed on the vehicle.
TSB-FUE0352017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. TSB:V6 FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT - This bulletin provides the procedure to replace all the fuel injectors on some 2014MY Sorento (XMa) vehicles, which may experience an intermittent rough idle on cold starts. When addressing the concern of a rough idle, which occurs only on the first start of the day and lasts for thirty (30) to forty-five (45) seconds, check for the possibility of poor injector performance in any cylinder. This concern may feel like a misfire, however, it is not an emissions or catalyst damaging misfire and typically does not trigger any DTC(s). To diagnose this concern, go to GDS ? Engine ? Current Data and monitor for Current Misfire Counts on all 6 cylinders, during the first cold start in the morning.
PS327R12017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. PITSTOP: XM 2.4L GDI MIL ON WITH DTC ? P0269 - On some 2012-2015MY Sorento (XM) equipped with 2.4L GDI engines, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate with the ECM system-related DTC P0269. To correct this concern, replace the fuel injector in cylinder number three (3) by referring to the Service Information on KGIS.
PS3202017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS. PIT STOP: ROUGH IDLE AFTER COLD START ON 3.3L GDI ENGINE - When addressing a customer complaint of rough idle, which occurs only on the first start of the day and lasts for 30-45 seconds, check for the possibility of poor injector performance in a particular cylinder.
PS3152017-08-02. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:INJECTORS. PIT STOP: GDI INJECTOR SPRAY TIP DEPOSITS - A design feature of vehicles equipped with a Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) system is the placement of each fuel injector directly into the engine cylinder head assembly. Therefore, it is completely normal for the combustion process to create deposits on the injector spray tip surfaces.
TSB-0262013-12-31. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS. KIA: A MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) ILLUMINATES WITH ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) SYSTEM AND TO CORRECT CONCERN, HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP, FUEL DELIVERY PIPE AND MOUNTING BOLTS WOULD BE REPLACED, IF NECESSARY. MODEL 2011-2014 OPTIMA, SPORTAGE, SORENTO, CADENZA. *PE
