Service bulletin PS315

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

PIT STOP: GDI INJECTOR SPRAY TIP DEPOSITS - A design feature of vehicles equipped with a Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) system is the placement of each fuel injector directly into the engine cylinder head assembly. Therefore, it is completely normal for the combustion process to create deposits on the injector spray tip surfaces.

PS320_R12018-11-13. Service bulletin. PITSTOP: ROUGH IDLE AFTER COLD START ON 3.3L GDI ENGINE - When addressing a customer complaint of rough idle, which occurs only on the first start of the day and lasts for 30-45 seconds, check for the possibility of poor injector performance in a particular cylinder. This concern may feel like a misfire, however, it is not an emissions or catalyst damaging misfire and it does not typically trigger any DTC(s). To diagnose this concern, go to KDS ? Data Analysis ? Engine and monitor for Current Misfire Counts on all 6 cylinders, during the first cold start in the morning, to assist in determining which cylinder is responsible for the rough idle condition. Replace only the injector for the affected cylinder. To verify the repair, recheck again after an overnight cold soak to make sure the rough idle condition is no longer present.
PS4762017-08-02. Service bulletin. PITSTOP: INTERMITTENT LACK OF POWER OR HESITATION UPON ACCELERATION ? RESTRICTED FUEL LINE - Customers may experience an intermittent lack of power or hesitation upon acceleration. The malfunction indicator lamp may not illuminate or DTC P0087 may be stored (history). This is possibly due to a restricted low pressure fuel line. DTC P0087: Fuel Rail/System Pressure ? Too Low
TSB-FUE0352017-08-02. Service bulletin. TSB:V6 FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT - This bulletin provides the procedure to replace all the fuel injectors on some 2014MY Sorento (XMa) vehicles, which may experience an intermittent rough idle on cold starts. When addressing the concern of a rough idle, which occurs only on the first start of the day and lasts for thirty (30) to forty-five (45) seconds, check for the possibility of poor injector performance in any cylinder. This concern may feel like a misfire, however, it is not an emissions or catalyst damaging misfire and typically does not trigger any DTC(s). To diagnose this concern, go to GDS ? Engine ? Current Data and monitor for Current Misfire Counts on all 6 cylinders, during the first cold start in the morning.
PS327R12017-08-02. Service bulletin. PITSTOP: XM 2.4L GDI MIL ON WITH DTC ? P0269 - On some 2012-2015MY Sorento (XM) equipped with 2.4L GDI engines, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate with the ECM system-related DTC P0269. To correct this concern, replace the fuel injector in cylinder number three (3) by referring to the Service Information on KGIS.
