Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been set:B1053-64 RFHM (Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) Communication) - Signal Plausibility Failure (Software has been updated to better address this DTC). In addition, the customer may notice the following condition(s): Service Passive Entry Light" on cluster and MIL code B1053-64. Vehicle will not shut off with DTC B1053-64. Vehicle may not start with DTC B1053-64. With the ignition in the run position and the engine not running, the vehicle may not turn itself off after 30 minutes. Doors may not unlock when using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Fob.(2015 only) Tire pressure monitoring (TPM) light may illuminate when using the winter tires in winter mode functionality.(2015-2016 only) After an engine start and the doors are closed, a message in the cluster may be displayed ?Key Not Detected? when the key is actually present.(2015-2016 only) Only a message is displayed, the vehicle will start.

The customer may describe one or more of the following: When ParkSense is turned off, the LED on the switch will turn on indicating the system is disabled. On the next key cycle the system is still disabled, but the LED on the switch will not turn on. Rear interior overhead lamps remain illuminated after exiting vehicle and locking from the driver's or passenger's door lock buttons. This is causing the vehicle battery to go dead. The door locks are inoperative when locking/unlocking remotely. False activation of the vehicle security alarm. False exterior light failure messages being displayed in the instrument cluster.

The customer may experience malfunction on first attempt to start the vehicle. Initial cranking is inhibited but should start/crank on the second attempt. Upon further inspection the technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1000-01 - Electronic Control Unit - General Electrical Failure stored in the ESL Module.

Some customers may experience one or more of the following conditions: · The vehicle theft alarm system activates, setting off the siren for no reason. · BCM will not recognize pressing of the lock/unlock buttons or setting of the vehicle theft alarm system when a new or spare key has been programmed. New key will start the vehicle. In addition, the following software enhancements will correct the theft alarm ultrasonic sensors not detecting an intrusion on the rear seat area.
