Technician should be advised that the catalytic converter efficiency Diagnostic Trouble Codes P0420 and P0430 are disabled for the first hour of engine run time to allow break-in of the catalytic converter. Technician will need to use a Tech2 to check the verify engine run time on the Engine Hour Meter in the Instrument Panel Cluster Data Display/Data 1 List in the scan tool match. If the engine run time is less than one hour, the battery may have been disconnected, or another vehicle power loss event may have occurred, during vehicle manufacturing. Technician will need to clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and perform a drive cycle. If the catalytic converter was replaced and the Diagnostic Trouble Codes set it may be a result of the engine run time restrictions no longer being in place since the vehicle is no longer new. Technician will need to clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and perform a drive cycle.

This concern will only occur when the temperatures is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and if the blower motor is removed while still cold, ice may be found on the blower motor cage. This concern could be caused by water leaking or snow ingestion into the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning case. Technician is to perform normal water testing diagnostics while the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning is running, looking for water leaking past the plenum cover. If water is leaking past the cover remove the cover and install a 12x12 snow resistant screen to the fresh air intake. Reseal and install the plenum cover cap using Kent air dry sealer or equivalent.
PIT4943C2017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Engine Soon Malfunction Indicator Lamp. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code P0442. Technician will need to review Techlink article from May 2013 titled "Using the Evaporative Emissions System Tester" Technician will need to follow these steps to help diagnose the issue. First after the P0442 has been verified do not disturb any of the fuel system components. The technician now can use the scan tool to close the Evaporative Emissions System. If possible change the tank pressure sensor units from inch_H2O to milimeter_Hg for better resolution. Now the vehicle can be stared to monitor the tank pressure sensor output value for approximately two minutes. If the tank pressure sensor value does change, pressurize the fuel tank side of the purge solenoid with the GE 41413-A / J 41413-A and the necessary adaptors. Now add smoke and allow pressure to stabilize for 2 minutes. If smoke is allowed to pass through the purge solenoid, replace the purge solenoid. If the tank pressure sensor value does not change, then install CH-48096 adaptor between the purge line from the canister and the purge solenoid. With the Evaporative Emissions System closed, pressurize the system through the CH-48096 adaptor and allow the system to completely stabilize, by observing the Press / Vac Gauge for a minimum of 5 minutes. Now add smoke to the system with GE 41413-A / J 41413-A after system stabilization. Now inspect the purge solenoid, engine side, fuel cap, canister vent solenoid filter and any line quick connects. When the leak is unable to be located, test under a vacuum condition. his type of leak may be detected by using the scan tool Purge/Seal function to create a vacuum in the Evaporative Emissions System and then observe the FTP sensor parameter for vacuum decay.
PIT5240B2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about systems operate during a remote vehicle start event. Dual Zone Auto Regular Production Option Code (CJ2) Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings will remain set to the previous Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings when the ignition was turned off. Single Zone Manual Regular Production Option Code (C67) HVAC settings the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings will remain set to the previous Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning settings when the ignition was turned off. The Rear window defogger during a remote start event, the rear window defogger will turn on if the outside temperature is 44 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) or below. The heated seats will not turn on if a Remote Vehicle Start event is performed within 2 hours of shutting the engine off. The cooled seats will turn to the high setting when the ambient temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius). Heated steering wheel will not turn on during Remote Vehicle Start event.
PIT5233A2017-08-15. Service bulletin. STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have hard or unable to rotate ignition key concern. When the concern is present the steering wheel will need to be rotated in either direction to alleviate the pressure between the steering column lock pin and lock plate. Please communicate to the customer this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle.
PIP51792017-08-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ENGINE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have extended or long crank time during cold ambient air temperatures. Direct Injection systems run at higher pressures, and the mechanical pump on the engine must build up the required pressure before the first injection event occurs. Direct Injection engines may have slightly longer cold crank times than that of port fuel engines.
PIP5174A2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have an engine extended or long crank time during ambient air temps of ?18° Celsius (0° Fahrenheit) or colder when using E85 fuel. Technician will need to use Global Diagnostic System 2 to determine the actual ethanol content of the fuel. Adding regular fuel to the tank may help resolve the concern.
PIP5104A2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a cold engine tick noise for 50 seconds at start up. Technician determines if the tick noise is possibly coming from the exhaust manifold, as this noise could easily be mistaken for an engine tick noise. If your SI diagnosis does not isolate the cause of this concern, this concern should be considered a vehicle design characteristic of the ECM calibration and no additional repairs should be performed.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
