Service bulletins for the 2015 GMC Sierra
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

If any weight parameter is exceeded such as the Front Gross Axle Weight Rating, Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, or Gross Combined Weight Rating the load must be reduced before investigating further. If evaluation of the trailer’s brakes indicates trailer brake capability is adequate, adjust brake controller per the Trailer Gain Adjustment Procedure described in the Driving and Operating section of the Owner’s Manual and evaluate truck and trailer combination for braking shudder. |

| GCUS-3-567 | 2017-12-22. Service bulletin. TRAILER HITCHES. 15809 - Service Parts Customer Satisfaction Program - Certain Chevrolet Silverado LD and GMC Sierra LD model vehicles equipped with the 12,000 lb. trailering package (RPO Z82) may have been serviced with, or the customer sold over the counter, a trailer hitch platform that could develop cracks at the weld points over time. With heavy towing loads over thousands of miles, these cracks could potentially propagate and fatigue the welds. If the trailer hitch platform welds fatigue while the vehicle is being operated with a trailered load, that trailer could become unsecured. Trailer Hitch Platforms involved in this program were sold over the counter or used to repair various serviced vehicles. For information on involved vehicles manufactured with the identified trailer hitch platforms refer to the latest version of Customer Satisfaction Bulletin 15036. |
