Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford Transit

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

121 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

23B042023-10-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Certain 2023 Model Year Transit - Missing Rear Vinyl Floor Covering
SAN-Vol1 I12023-08-16. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. The Service Awareness Newsletter is an informal communication that contains information that may not be presently available in a TSB, SSM, GSB, or other electronic communication. This article includes information on warranty, technical service tips and other service information.
SSM 518372023-08-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2023 Transit vehicles built on 15-Mar-2023 and through 02-Jun-2023, equipped with SYNC 3 Lite (4 inch center display screen), with rear parking aid, and without front parking aid may exhibit a parking aid disable switch in the front controls interface module B (FCIMB) that is inoperative and does not disable the reverse parking aid system when desired. This may be due to the configuration of the park aid module (PAM). To correct this condition, download and run the PAM Park Aid Module (PAM) Configuration application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15K866 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 517622023-07-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial units and not being able to change to metric. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). This issue does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in September 2023. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
SSM 517602023-07-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT. Some 2022-2023 Transit vehicles, excluding cutaway and chassis cab body vehicles, equipped with a rear-view camera level 2 system only and 12 inch center display screen, may exhibit a lack of active or fixed guidelines after rear view camera replacement. Vehicles may also exhibit a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1001:55 stored in the SYNC module (APIM). This may be due to the APIM requiring the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) to recognize the new rear-view camera. To restore the active or fixed guidelines, download and run the APIM - Local Interconnect Network (LIN) New Module Initialization application in Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) when replacing the rear-view camera.
SSM 516872023-06-16. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; POWER TRAIN. TSB 22-2428 is missing some labor operations. For any missing labor operations, claim available new model labor operations or m-time. Refer to this article on the repair order. When replacing the CDF cylinder, the current TSB does not require a complete transmission overhaul or cooler and converter flushing. Ford is currently reviewing the TSB. Monitor OASIS for updates.
23L022023-06-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Certain 2022 & 2023 Model Year Transit Vehicles Passenger Airbag Deactivation Switch Instructions Not in Owners Manual
SSM 516462023-05-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2022-2023 Transit/E-Transit vehicles built on or before 05-May-2023 may experience an inaccurate air discharge temperature when the electronic automatic temperature control (EATC) is operating in auto or manual mode and the temperature set to 60°F (15.5°C) or above. During this condition, the system commands full or mostly heat and the air discharge temperature will only reduce in the LO setting. This may be due to calibration in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. To correct this condition, reprogram the HVAC module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 19980 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
