SSM 478232019-04-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ENGINE. Various 2013-2019 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P264F after powertrain control module (PCM) replacement. This DTC indicates that the engine serial number (ESN) must be programmed into the PCM. The ESN is located on PTS> OASIS> Features> Engine Serial Number. Once the ESN is obtained from the historical vehicle bill of materials (HvBOM), it can be programmed into the PCM using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Navigate to the toolbox tab> powertrain menu> Service Functions> ESN.

TSB 18-23652019-04-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U029D and/or P2209 in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to water intrusion.
SSM 478522019-04-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE; EQUIPMENT. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or after 1-Oct-2017 equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an intermittent oil pressure warning lamp. A revised oil pressure switch has been released; service part number GC3Z-9278-B. For removal and installation of the oil pressure switch refer to Workshop Manual, Section 303-01C. Applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual
TSB 19-20532019-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty chassis cab/dual rear wheel (DRW) pickup vehicles and 2016- 2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an oil consumption concern in applications where the engine is idled for extended periods of time. This may be due to high crankcase pressure as a result of the crankcase ventilation filter element becoming restricted. To resolve the concern, replace the crankcase vent oil separator. The new crankcase vent oil separator appears different from the old crankcase vent oil separator as it no longer includes a serviceable filter element.
TSB 18-23652019-04-01.
SSM 477122019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition.
SSM 477402019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2018 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2019 F-Super Duty and 2019 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or after 9-Jul-2018 and 2019 F-150/Transit vehicles built on or after 2-Jan-2019 are filled with the new Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant. When servicing the cooling system(s) on these vehicles, use Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant VC-13-G (CVC-13-G for Canada). Do not mix different colors or types of coolant. NOTE: The Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant may appear green in color due to the florescent dye used.

For 2010-2019 vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines, when diagnosing and/or replacing turbo related concerns, all steps within the Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure must be followed including replacement of all mandatory discarded parts. For all turbocharged engine applications, the turbocharger oil supply filter (6C683 gas engine/6L625 connector style or 6A968 diesel engine) must be replaced whenever the turbocharger or the turbocharger oil supply tube are replaced. Turbocharger bearing failure may occur if oil starvation occurs due to a restricted filter.
SSM 476412019-01-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE (EGR VALVE); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. This may be a result of using aftermarket cleaning liquids or tools for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler or intake. Ford does not recommend the cleaning of diesel intakes or EGR coolers using any aftermarket tool that injects a cleaning foam or liquid substance into the EGR cooler or intake. Using these types of fluids can result in sodium poisoning of the NOx and particulate matter (PM) sensors resulting in degraded operation and permanent damage to the aftertreatment system. Use of these cleaning tools may void the emissions warranty of the hot end aftertreatment exhaust system and the attached emissions sensors.
