Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford F-550
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some 2023-2026 F-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 01-Oct-2025 may exhibit a "Hill Start Assist Unavailable" and/or "Parking Brake Limited Function" message at vehicle start-up with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) U0151, U023A, U0159 and/or U0146 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. | SSM 53892 | 2025-06-19. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2023-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a "Hill Start Assist Unavailable" and/or "Parking Brake Limited Function" message at vehicle start-up with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U0151, U023A, U0159, and/or U0146 stored in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. These DTCs and/or U0415 may also be present in various other modules related to "invalid data received from the ABS control module". Replacement or reprogramming of the ABS module will not resolve this condition. There is no effect to the parking brake or other vehicle functions. This does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q3 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. |
| SSM 53521 | 2025-03-31. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2023-2025 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U023A:00, U0159:00, and/or U0146:00 in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module after the vehicle is remote started. |
| SSM 51486 | 2023-04-05. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U023A:00, U0159:00, and/or U0146:00 in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module after the vehicle is remote started. This may be due to the image processing module A (IPMA) not communicating on the controller area network (CAN) during the remote starting event. Replacement or reprogramming of the ABS module or IPMA will not resolve this condition. U023A:00, U0159:00, and/or U0146:00 should be ignored if: no other DTCs are present in the ABS module, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is not illuminated while the engine is running, and no drivability concerns are present.
