| SSM 50640 | 2022-04-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine and a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit harsh 3-2 and/or 2-1 downshifts when coming to a stop in tow/haul mode or when using engine brake mode. Because this is related to a software issue, replacement of the transmission or other components will not resolve this condition and engineering is currently working on a software update which is expected to be available by the end of June 2022. In the interim Perform TSB 22-2015, steps 10-15 only, and evaluate if the concern is resolved. If the concern is still present, let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for June 2022. Monitor OASIS for updates and confirm that the service appointment is going forward once the repair becomes available. |

| SSM 50636 | 2022-03-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. 2011-2022 F-Super Duty and 2016-2023 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C (80°F) and may increase to 1200 RPM at -40 °C (-40°F). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take-off (PTO) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages. |
