Service bulletins for the 2017 Ford F-350

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

18N03-S22019-03-04. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES. Certain 2015-2018 Model Year F-150 and 2017-2018 Model Year F-250-F-550 Vehicles - Door Latch Freezing Concerns
SSM 477122019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition.
SSM 477112019-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and a 6, 8 or 10 inch screen may show a pop-up message every key cycle that states 'SYNC can check for updates when connected to a WiFi network'. To remove the inconvenience of the pop-up the customer can either connect to a trusted WiFi network to complete the setup process or turn off WiFi in the WiFi settings located under the Settings menu. Adjusting the setting for the customer is not a warrantable defect.
TSB 18-23742019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2015-2019 F-150, 2017-2019 F-Super Duty, 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a vista roof opening panel may exhibit a binding/sticking, glass stuck open or closed, noisy operation including chatter, rattling, or grinding. This may be due to the glass brackets cracking and/or breaking apart. The glass panel brackets are serviceable separately from the frame assembly and require the roof opening panel glass to be moved to the vent position. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

Do not perform any repairs for this concern. If a vehicle exhibits this concern, please use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of the OASIS tab and submit a report. Engineering is investigating. Monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 475422018-12-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty/2018 F-150 vehicles equipped with the 6.7L or 3.0L engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTC P208E in the powertrain control module (PCM). When performing pinpoint test RK, the results of the selective catalyst reductant (SCR) dosing measurement test (RK7) may be zero or below the specified 40-50mL requirement due to urea crystals plugging the DEF injector nozzle. If the measurement is below this specified amount, perform pinpoint test step RK7 two additional times. If the specified amount is met, reinstall the reductant injector. If after three attempts the dosing measurement remains below the specified amount, the DEF injector should be replaced. The DEF pump should not be replaced for DTC P208E. Engineering is investigating. Monitor OASIS for updates.

Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with only DTC P2074 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). Do not replace the PCM or mass air flow (MAF) sensor for this concern. Instead perform a MAF parameter reset under: Toolbox - Powertrain - Service Functions - Reset/Clear Specified Function - Reset/Clear Functions - MAF Sensor. Engineering is investigating. Monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 475382018-12-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2018 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may exhibit the Android Auto Preference menu selection is not present after an update to version 3.0 software. In prior versions of SYNC 3 software this menu was present, however in version 3.0 software the Android Auto Preference menu will only show up once an Android Phone has been initially connected to SYNC. When performing diagnostics for DTCs P2201, P2452, P2459, P246C and/or P2463, a manual regeneration and diesel particulate filter (DPF) parameter reset using the appropriate scan tool may need to be performed. To perform the manual regeneration, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Manual Regeneration. The scan tool may indicate that a regeneration of the DPF is not recommended at this time, selecting YES on this screen will allow the regeneration process to complete. To perform the DPF parameter reset, go to the Toolbox tab > Powertrain > Service Functions > Diesel Particulate Regeneration System > DPF Parameter Reset.
tsb18-21942018-09-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2015-2017 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or before 1-Jun-2017 may exhibit a leak from the coolant pump. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SSM 473882018-07-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a headliner edge that shows around the overhead console. SSM 473542018-07-23. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL:FLASHER UNIT; EQUIPMENT; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty pickups may exhibit an instrument panel cluster (IPC) turn signal indicator that flashes fast with no inoperative turn signal lamps after the pickup box has been removed by the upfitter. This may be due to the body control module (BCM) not recognizing the modified lower current turn signal lighting that was installed. To correct this concern, use Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool version 104.04 or later to configure turn lamp outage settings as required. Under toolbox > module programming > programmable parameters > exterior lighting, select rear bulb turn outage and outage ABM and change the setting on each parameter from outage to no outage. Changes to lamp outage settings on pickups as a result of upfitter modifications are non-warrantable. Upfitters are responsible for FMVSS 108 compliance.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
