| SSM 47167 | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Various 2016-2017 vehicles with SYNC 3 may experience a touch screen that does not respond to any input. Using the Professional Technician Society (PTS) website > OASIS tab > SYNC version, verify the vehicle SYNC software version. If the vehicle is at version 2.2 please update the module to the latest software level. After the software is updated make sure you shut the vehicle off, open the door for 2 minutes, then turn the key back on before testing the touch screen. If the software is at a later version than 2.2, proceed with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. For claiming, use causal part 14G371 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual. |

Some 2016-2018 Ford and Lincoln Vehicle equipped with SYNC 3 and connected to an iPhone recently upgraded to iOS 11.2.5 may exhibit a concern where USB Audio playback and App Link applications will not function properly. This may also include, under certain conditions, no Bluetooth Streaming. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a resolution with a future iOS release. No repairs should be performed at this time. To check the iOS software level on an Apple iOS device, select Settings > General > About on the device. Monitor OASIS for updates. | SSM 47097 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. Some 2017-2018 F-150 vehicles built on or before 29-Sep-2017 may exhibit a no crank/no start, auto-start-stop inoperative, illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and or powertrain malfunction indicator lamp, transmission shift issues, DTC P061A, U0140, U0401, U0101, U0074 and/or U0037 being set in the PCM, TCM, IPC, FCIM, ABS and/or PSCM. This may be due to the 15525 transmission wire harness not being properly secured. Visually inspect the harness for possible damage and proper routing at the rear of the engine down to the transmission. Repair as necessary. If no damage is found, proceed with normal diagnostics. |
| SSM 47093 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. 2017-2018 F-150/Raptor and 2018 Expedition/Navigator/Mustang vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission require a new automatic transmission fluid, MERCONù Ultra Low Viscosity (ULV). It is important to positively identify the transmission and service with the correct fluid. Use only Motorcraft MERCONù ULV Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-12-QULV (WSS-M2C949-A) or equivalent when servicing a 10R80 automatic transmission. Using improper transmission fluid may result in internal transmission damage. For any further questions regarding the 10R80 transmission or fluid specification for 2017-2018 F-150 or 2018 Expedition/Mustang/Navigator Refer to WSM Section 307-01 - Specifications. |

Refer to the Owner's Manual for the power mirror synchronization procedure. |
| SSM 47070 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. When connecting the Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) and Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) to the DLC located on the driver side under the steering column at the GWM, make sure that the ignition is off before connecting the VCM. If the ignition is on or the engine is running during the connection, it can result in various warning lights being illuminated with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), no start or no crank conditions or the IPC inoperative. For Lincoln vehicles, this information is now listed in the Technical Inspection and Post Road Test Sections of ePDI on the PTS website. If a vehicle displays these issues, disconnect the equipment from the DLC and disconnect the vehicle battery. Wait 10 minutes and reinstall with the ignition off. Clear any DTCs present and retest. |
| SSM 47067 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. This may be caused by excessive network traffic on the controller area network (CAN) Bus causing the FCIM to lock up. Before replacing the FCIM, complete a battery reset, clear all DTCs and run a FCIM self-test. If the issue is still present, follow normal diagnosis. For claiming, use causal part 18842 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) manual. |
