Service bulletins for the 2010 Dodge Ram

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

90023502018-05-21. Service bulletin. TRAILER HITCHES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Part Description: Integrated Trailer Brake Module Issue Description: Before replacing an Integrated Trailer Brake Module (ITBM) please review the following items.~ 1. The ITBM does not control the trailer lights. If the trailer lights are not working, do not change the ITBM.~ 2. If the Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC) reported by the ITBM is C10C7-11 "Electronic Trailer Brake Control Output Short to Ground" or C10C7-12 "Electronic Trailer Brake Control Output Short to Battery", please verify the wiring on the trailer. The purpose of this faults is to protect the ITBM output from faulty trailer wiring.~ 3. If the customer complaint is ITBM not detecting the trailer connection. Do not change the ITBM until the system has been verified with load simulation and confirmed that ITBM is not recognizing the load. If load simulation indicates that the ITBM is operating properly, please verify the trailer wiring.~ 4. ITBM output will not be available if a trailer is not connect and plugged into the vehicle. The ITBM must detect a trailer before you will get trailer brake output.~ 5. Please follow the service manual procedures before changing the ITBM.~ This part can only be used as a replacement on vehicles with the Integrated Trailer Brake system already installed. Do not attempt to use this module for the purpose of adding the Integrated Trailer Brake system to a vehicle that was not originally equipped. You will encounter configuration difficulties. MOPAR has developed a kit, part number 82212548 to be used for installation of the Integrated Trailer Brake system on vehicles.

M34113020122018-05-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL; SUSPENSION:REAR:AXLE:NON-POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLY. Advanced Field Action Communication ? M3411302012 Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) announced a safety recall on certain 2009 and 2010 model year (DS) Ram 1500 series trucks and (ND) Dodge Dakota trucks equipped with a Chrysler built 9.25? rear axle. The above vehicles may have been built without an adhesive patch on the rear axle pinion nut threads. The lack of this adhesive patch could allow the rear axle pinion nut to loosen and/or the rear driveshaft to separate from the rear axle. A loose pinion nut could cause the rear axle to seize and a separated driveshaft could cause a loss of motive power. Excessive loosening of the rear axle pinion nut can allow the pinion gear to be drawn into the rear axle assembly, resulting in rear axle lock-up. Chrysler will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to install a rear axle pinion nut retainer. Unfortunately, the parts required to provide a permanent remedy for this condition are currently not available. Chrysler anticipates the remedy parts will be available within the 1st quarter of 2013. An interim notification letter is being mailed to all involved vehicle owners. Chrysler is required by Federal law to inform all involved vehicle owners of a potential vehicle safety defect.

90025192018-02-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. 82212076, 82203694 - Fabric Cleaner This "fabric cleaner" is not intended for sale in California, the otc states (Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington dc), and some ladco states (Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio). Mopar offers an alternative product (82213192) which is a water based product approved for sale in the aforementioned states.~ ~ Please inform the customer & your prep dept that spraying excessive amounts of the fabric protector on load floors will result in the breaking down of the adhesive (glue) that is used to create the bond between the fabric (carpet) and the load floor. This will apply to any vehicles equipped with rear load floors such as WK, WD, PM, MK, KA, KK. The carpet will appear to be loose, wrinkly, or bunch up~
