Flash: Diagnostic And System Improvements This bulletin involves diagnosis and selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software or if necessary replacing the PCM based on the DIAGNOSIS. This new software once reprogrammed in the PCM will prevent the need to replace the PCM when the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) listed below occur as a pair. A small number of customers may experience one or more of the symptoms/conditions listed below or a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTCs): Upon further investigation the Technician may find that any of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes have been set. If any of the following DTC's have been set perform the Diagnosis. ? U0140 - Lost Communication With Body Control Module. Attempting to clear this DTC will be unsuccessful. ? P0032 - O2 Sensor 1/1 Heater Circuit High. ? P0038 - O2 Sensor 1/2 Heater Circuit High. ? P0052 - O2 Sensor 2/1 Heater Circuit High. ? P0058 - O2 Sensor 2/2 Heater Circuit High. ? A customer may experience one or more of the following conditions: · Radio display screen will lock up and reset intermittently. · Incorrect routing directions to fuel stations when using Travel Link. · Unable to turn on heated seats; icon is greyed out. · Navigation screen goes blank. · Navigation system freezes/locks up. · Vehicles with Mopar special edition radio will update radio?s splash screen. · Navigation icon shows the vehicle going backward when it?s moving forward.

Flash: Drone or Vibration Present During MDS Operation This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. New PCM software is being released to address a customer's concern of a drone or vibration type condition while driving at highway speeds during MDS (Multiple Displacement System) operation.In addition, the following powertrain system improvements/enhancements are also included in this software release: Improved Electronic Voltage Regulator control to more precisely maintain system voltage. Enhanced Automatic Oil Change Indicator(EAOCI) system improvements to switch to a severe duty cycle algorithm anytime the PCM is replaced to ensure the customer receives a timely oil change required message. (Only applies to vehicles using a block heater in ambient temperatures greater than -20°F(-29°C)).
