Hands Free Module Prompts Begin Erroneously This bulletin involves diagnosing and based on outcome, either performing a USB flash or replacing the Mopar accessory Hands Free Module (HFM). A customer may experience the Uconnect prompts begin to play without pressing the Voice Recognition (VR) button. The prompt may repeat itself two or three times before exiting. The customer satisfaction enhancements are included with this software release. NOTE: After the HFM has been updated it will receive these enhancements: · Reduced ?Device Reading? wait time after connecting a device to the remote USB port. · Call / dial separation improves upon names being recognized as phone numbers. · Improved sound quality during Bluetooth streaming. · Increased iPod and iPhone compatibility. · SMS messaging support via Mobile Application Part (MAP) protocol (not all phones support the MAP protocol). · Added ?None of These? and ?Correction? to the phone book prompt menu for better handling of similar names. · Previous button will return the song currently being played to the beginning of the track. · AirPlay feature ?Dock Connector? no longer needs to be manually selected on Apple devices. This will resolve the ?No Audio? condition when the device is connected to the remote USB port and dock connector is not selected. NOTE: USB mode resume will no longer 'resume' after ignition is OFF.

Flash: HVAC System Intermittently Blows Cold Regardless of Setting This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the HVAC Module with new software. Customers may experience the following condition: ? HVAC system intermittently blows cold regardless of blend door/temperature setting. Updating the HVAC software will correct this condition.

Power Window-Vent Switch - Interim CSN Repair This Bulletin involves disconnecting the switch for the rear power vent window, if requested by the customer. A customer may inquire about Safety Recall P25 and request to have their Power Quarter Vented Window Switch disconnected or a customer may have noticed a burning odor or have seen smoke coming from the power vented window switch on the drivers door. Once the proper amount of parts are available, all of the customer will be notified. In the meantime, the switch can be disconnected, to satisfy the customer.

Navigation voice prompt is now announced near maneuvers such as exit ramps. Radio freeze when playing large number of .M4A or .WMA files,and recovers with ignition cycle. Battery signal strength display is not displayed into the radio screen (with iPhone 5). Traffic Announcement and Voice Recognition share the same volume control. Traffic Announcement volume drops after phone calls. Mismatch in the ?Distance to next turn? between the radio and EVIC displays. German translations are incorrect. Radio reset when copying certain .MP3 files from USB flash drive to the radio. Radio stations info is not correct into the right side of the radio display (radio menu). Radio mute issue in tuner mode. Preset loss during/after AF Switching. Erratic alternate frequency switching. Bluetooth phone muting during European traffic announcement. Issue Description: When traveling over bumpy roads, a high pitched ringing/bell sound may come from the left or right paddle switch's in the steering wheel. If this noise is heard, replace both Left and Right Paddle switch.

A customer may note that some of the translation for French and Spanish is incorrect in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) when trying to change Personal Settings for park assist. All park assist functions will operate properly.

Flash: Audio Distortion From The Front Door Speakers When The Rear Aux Port Is Used This bulletin involves re-flashing the Amplifier with updated software. The customer may experience audio distortion from the front door speakers when the rear AUX port is in use. The distortion may occurs when playing certain media with a lot of high frequency content. The equalization doesn't have a settings for rear AUX mode and defaulted to the AM mode. The AM mode equalization has a boost for high frequencies. This increase boost can cause the Amp to distort the sound.

This allows for more amperage to draw the Powerkneel up allowing the up-limit switch to be tripped consistently. If the up limit switch is not engaged, a vehicle may not come out of park or the conversion may not operate properly next time it is deployed

Mopar offers an alternative product (82213192) which is a water based product approved for sale in the aforementioned states.~ ~ Please inform the customer & your prep dept that spraying excessive amounts of the fabric protector on load floors will result in the breaking down of the adhesive (glue) that is used to create the bond between the fabric (carpet) and the load floor. This will apply to any vehicles equipped with rear load floors such as WK, WD, PM, MK, KA, KK. The carpet will appear to be loose, wrinkly, or bunch up~
