Service bulletins for the 2013 Cadillac SRX

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

This Bulletin provides guidelines for Dealers required to contact the PQC for engine or transmission assembly replacement and explains the PQC process, GWM Transaction submission, vehicle service record retention and proper handling of assembly returns.
G-1642582017-08-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. 13120A - Service Update (revised population). The torque converter clutch solenoid in the TECHM can stick due to debris in the transmission. When the vehicle is at the end of a coast-down, as the vehicle is coming to a stop, a stuck solenoid will fail to release the torque converter clutch. This keeps the engine directly connected to the driven wheels. As the vehicle stops, the engine speed will be pulled down below normal idle speed and the engine may stall. The vehicle can be immediately restarted and driven. Dealers are to reprogram the transmission control module with a revised calibration to correct this condition.
G-1638172017-08-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. 13120 - Service Update. G-1637682017-08-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. 13077A - Service Update (revised warranty information). The torque converter housing may have a casting defect on the sealing flange that could prevent the molded rubber carrier gasket from fully seating on the flange. If the gasket is not fully seated, over time, a transmission fluid leak could develop. Dealers are to inspect the date and mold code on the transmission housing. If specific date and mold codes are found, the transmissions will require replacement.
PIP4112M2017-08-15. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician of a complaint of a sag or hesitation when accelerating. The concern is present when coasting at low speeds of less than 15 miles per hour and then aggressively applying the throttle, or after making a hard stop followed by an aggressive throttle. This is considered normal operation of the vehicle the throttle is delayed and opened slowly up to .7 seconds to help minimize driveline lash and clunking or will have approximately .5 seconds of zero torque to allow the transmission to shift to first gear.

THIS BULLETIN PROVIDES A SERVICE PROCEDURE TO REPROGRAM THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, EQUIPPED WITH 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE REPROGRAMMING WILL INSTALL A REVISED CALIBRATION TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION.
