By component

United States: NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19
21V4730002021-06-24. SUSPENSION:REAR. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2010-2016 Cadillac SRX and 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X vehicles. The rear suspension toe link adjuster may not have been tightened properly, which could result in a loose toe link. NHTSA advises: do not drive until the repair is done.
14V5710002014-09-19. SUSPENSION:REAR. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 Cadillac SRX vehicles manufactured April 14, 2009, to September 1, 2014, and 2011-2012 Saab 9-4X vehicles manufactured February 1, 2011, to September 13, 2011. On the affected vehicles, the jam nut in the rear suspension toe adjuster link may not be torqued to the proper specification. A loose toe adjuster link can cause the vehicle to sway or wander at highway speeds. A loose toe adjuster link may lead to thread damage and eventual failure. Failure of the toe adjuster link will cause an abrupt change in the vehicle's alignment. Built 2009-04-14 to 2010-07-16.
14V4470002014-07-23. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:POWER ADJUST. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal and Chevrolet Camaro, as well as certain 2010-2012 Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain vehicles, equipped with power height adjustable driver and passenger seats. In the affected vehicles, the bolt that secures the driver's and passenger's power front seat height adjuster may fall out causing the seat to drop suddenly to the lowest vertical position. Built 2010-07-01 to 2010-07-16.
11V5950002011-12-20. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. GENERAL MOTORS (GM) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010-2011 CADILLAC SRX VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 26, 2008, THROUGH JUNE 23, 2011, FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER 114, “THEFT PROTECTION.” THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE A TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE THAT WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED AND MAY COME OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION BRACKET. Built 2008-10-26 to 2010-07-05.
10V4500002010-09-30. STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:POWER STEERING FLUID. GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CADILLAC SRX VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.8L GAS ENGINES (LAU) OR 3.0L GAS ENGINES (LF1). SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH PROCESSING OF THE CRIMP DURING MANUFACTURE OF THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE LINE MAY HAVE DAMAGED THE LINE. IF THE LINE WAS DAMAGED, A POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK MAY DEVELOP. IF THERE IS A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF FLUID LOSS, THE DRIVER WILL HEAR NOISE FROM THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND INCREASED EFFORT MAY BE REQUIRED FOR STEERING. Built 2009-12-04 to 2009-12-23.
10V2230002010-05-25. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. GENERAL MOTORS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 CADILLAC SRX EQUIPPED WITH A 2.8L V6 ENGINE. IF LOW OCTANE (REGULAR) FUEL IS USED IN THE VEHICLE INSTEAD OF THE REQUIRED HIGH OCTANE (PREMIUM) FUEL AS STATED IN THE OWNER MANUAL AND ON THE FUEL FILLER DOOR, THE COMBINATION OF REGULAR FUEL USAGE AND AGGRESSIVE DRIVING MANEUVERS MAY INDUCE PRE-IGNITION. IF PRE-IGNITION OCCURS, YOU MAY HEAR A PINGING OR KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE ENGINE. Built 2009-09-01 to 2010-03-20.

20213942021-06-24. Suspension. Issue: On certain vehicles, the adjustable rear toe link may not have been properly tightened during a previous service repair. As a result, the toe link could loosen and eventually separate. This could cause a sudden loss of vehicle stability. Note: You may notice the following warning symptoms if a rear toe link is loose: - sway or wander while driving; - loud metallic or other unusual noise from the rear suspension; - the steering wheel may be off-center; - the Stabilitrak malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may stay on or flash while driving; - Uneven wear between the rear tires. If you detect these symptoms, you should stop driving and have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership. Safety Risk: A loss of stability could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the adjustable rear toe links with a newly designed part.
20144062014-09-18. Suspension. On certain vehicles, the rear suspension toe link jam nuts may not have been tightened to specification. If the vehicle is operated in this condition, the toe link nuts could loosen and eventually separate, allowing the rear wheel to turn inboard or outboard. If this were to happen, sudden changes in vehicle handling could occur, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will inspect and ensure the rear suspension toe link nuts are tightened to specification. If required, the rear suspension toe link will be replaced.
20143112014-07-23. Seats And Restraints. On certain vehicles equipped with power height adjustable front seats, a bolt securing the adjuster mechanism may loosen and fall out. This would cause the seat to drop to the lowest vertical adjustment position, which could affect the driver's ability to safety operate vehicle controls as well as cause reduced driver visibility. These issues could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the bolt.
20114372011-12-21. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the transmission shift cable may have been improperly installed during vehicle assembly. If the cable separates from the transmission, the driver would be unable to shift in or out of gear. As such, the shift lever could be moved into the PARK position while the transmission is still in the last used gear before detachment. If the driver leaves the vehicle without engaging the parking brake, the vehicle could roll away. A rollaway vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, correct the transmission shift cable installation.
20103252010-09-30. Steering. On certain vehicles, processing of the crimp during manufacture of the power steering pressure line may have damaged the line. If the line was damaged, a power steering fluid leak may develop. If there is a sufficient amount of fluid loss, the driver will hear noise from the power steering pump and increased effort may be required for steering. If power steering fluid flows onto hot engine parts, an engine compartment fire could occur which may result in property damage or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the power steering line on vehicles equipped with a 2.8L engine (LAU). Dealers will also inspect, and if necessary replace the power steering line on vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine (LF1).
20101702010-05-28. Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.8L V6 engine, if low octane (regular) fuel is used in the vehicle instead of the required high octane (premium) fuel, as stated in the owner manual and on the fuel filler door, the combination of regular fuel usage and aggressive driving maneuvers may induce pre-ignition. If pre-ignition occurs, the driver will hear a pinging or knocking sound from the engine, and if the vehicle continues to be driven after the onset of this noise a connecting rod or piston may break, resulting in engine failure which would disable the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module.
