BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective September 16, 2022) on a small number of Model Year 2023 BMW X7 SAV vehicles that were produced between July 28, 2022 and September 2, 2022. Usage of the high-beam assistant is not possible.
SIB0901212022-07-18. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM):SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. BMW offers a new special ISTA Installation made available for Roadside Assistance / Mobile Service technicians. The new ISTA Version is also able to be used in case of a Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) programming failure to get the customer car reprogrammed on site. In case of a Remote Software Upgrade failure, the engine start is prevented for safety reasons until the vehicle is programmed correctly. Most of the errors occur when only one control unit fails to program correctly.

BMW AG has issued a Delivery Stop (effective October 25, 2021) on certain Model Year 2022 BMW vehicles that were produced after October 25, 2021. Due to supply chain limitations, certain vehicles were produced without a CID with touch function and without Reversing Assistant.

SIB 62 03 212021-10-25. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When the vehicle is operated in Sport Mode, the engine speed is no longer displayed in the BMW Head-Up Display (HUD).

A Delivery Stop has been issued (effective May 16 2019) on certain Model Year 2016-2020 BMW vehicles that have been produced between June 19 2015 and April 17 2019. A software error within the Digital Motor Electronics (DME) may cause a miscalculation of an onboard diagnostic (OBD) function. All vehicles will need a software update (no parts required).

A software error intermittently causes a continuous resetting of the microcontroller in the power management system. This causes the red Check Control Message (CCM) "Replace Battery" to be illuminated. Software error in Dual Storage System Battery.
