Service bulletins for the 2019 BMW X7
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.
463 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

| B611120 | 2020-12-21. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. | B661919 | 2020-04-27. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES. COMFORT ACCESS AND COMFORT GO NOT POSSIBLE: This Service Information Bulletin (Revision 1) replaces SI B66 19 19 dated May 2019. Vehicle cannot be unlocked/locked or started via Comfort Access. Remote control functionality is restored by pressing any of the key buttons or by removing and reinstalling the remote control key battery. The Display Key Digital Key and the Digital Key Card are not affected. Electrostatic discharge puts the remote control key into a deep sleep. Various situations can lead to an electrostatic charge which is often not recognized by the customer. For example walking over carpet wearing shoes that have a hard rubber sole positive and negative charges are exchanged. The sole accumulates a negative charge and an electrostatic charge develops before touching the remote control key. |
| B612219 | 2019-12-16. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. DOORS LOCKED WITH REMOTE CONTROL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. The customer states that the vehicle locks itself when the last door was closed even though the remote control/display key was inside the vehicle. Sporadic interference causes the vehicle to revert to "outside detection" of the vehicle remote control instead of "inside the vehicle detection" which is where the key was located. |
