Service bulletin SA-082-23
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 09-026-26 | 2026-10-01. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red text. 09-043/25 11/26/2025 DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may experience a clicking noise when opening and/or closing the front door due to a broken front door checker plate. To reduce the clicking noise, the material of the plastic component in the door checker has been modified. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. 2. Replace the front door checker plate with the interim countermeasure part according to the instructions on MGSS FRONT DOOR CHECKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. NOTE: Repair only the affected side. |

| SA-056-26 | 2026-09-04. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some customers will report that their fuel filler lid (door) was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. The fuel door may or may not be missing. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Check the system operation as noted in the PHEV Refueling Procedure and check for DTC. |
| 09-024-26 | 2026-09-02. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit a condition in which a warning buzzer (error sound) is heard, and the power liftgate (PLG) does not open or close automatically. When these symptoms happen, DTCs B144F:11 or B144F:13 may be stored. B144F:11 Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit motor circuit malfunction B144F:13 Power liftgate (PLG) drive unit motor circuit malfunction NOTE: The liftgate can be opened or closed manually, though effort may be higher without the motor assist. Due to improper assembly of the brush spring within the PLG unit motor, the contact pressure of the brush decreases, resulting in poor continuity. As a result, sufficient current may not be supplied to the motor. The manufacturing process has been improved to ensure proper positioning of the spring during assembly. REPAIR PROCEDURE Replace the power liftgate drive unit according to the instructions on MGSS POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. |
| 06-001-26 | 2026-08-04. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some customers may complain that the electric power steering warning light illuminates after engine start and DTC U2011:1C is stored. Zinc-plated whisker may form inside the EPS motor and trigger the DTC. However, since it is cleared when power is supplied during DTC detection, normal operation can be restored by turning the ignition OFF and then ON. Furthermore, there is no possibility of recurrence. This case may be resolved through a simple inspection or repair without the need for parts replacement, potentially avoiding unnecessary customer waiting time. |
| 09-020-26 | 2026-07-03. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit scratches (1) on the rear of the seat back bar garnish (2) from contact with the convertible top (3). Due to assembly variations, the clearance between the seat back bar garnish and the convertible top is too small on some vehicles. REPAIR PROCEDURE 6. Install the seat back crossmember assembly from the vehicle according to the instructions on MGSS online or the Workshop Manual (section 09-10 SEAT BACK CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION). 7. Reinstall the rear seat back bar garnish while twisting the garnish so that the garnish can be kept closer to the seat back bar and away from the convertible top (for both left and right sides). |
| 09-018-26 | 2026-06-02. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. 09-031/25 08/05/25 DESCRIPTION While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. NOTE: In environments where passengers frequently enter and exit the vehicle under dusty conditions (e.g. dirt or gravel roads, off-road driving), a certain amount of dust will enter into the cabin, even in other types of vehicles. Therefore, this phenomenon is not limited to the causes described in this document. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. NOTE: This repair procedure is an interim countermeasure. After a mass production change is implemented, the repair procedure will be updated. Attach the protectors (urethane pads, deflectors and protectors) to both sides of the designated locations according to the following steps. |
| SA-031-26 | 2026-05-05. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may require the replacement of a damaged VIN plate or vehicle certification label. To obtain a replacement VIN plate (bulkhead-mounted and visible through the lower-left area of the windshield), contact DAG (Dealer Assistance Group) using VIN Plate Request Form available on One Mazda. To obtain a replacement vehicle certification label (located on the Bô€€€pillar or front door), contact your assigned DSM (District Service Manager) to place the order. If DSM contact information is not available, refer to the Dealer & Field Contact Directory. |
| SA-021-26 | 2026-05-05. Service bulletin. This Service Alert supersedes the previously issued SAs and bulletin(s) listed below: The changes are noted below in red. SA-010/23 02/09/23 DESCRIPTION Some customers may experience one or more electrical malfunctions after a vehicle body repair. A newly painted fender stay (2) may be causing a poor front harness (1) ground connection. The front fender stay (2) newly painted surface at ground point (3), where attachment bolt (4) is seated, may create a poor front harness ground connection. NOTE: DO NOT paint ground point (3) attachment bolt (4) is seated. NEWLY INSTALLED FRONT FENDER STAY NOTE: CAUTION: If the bolt (4) contact area (3) is painted when the front fender stay (2) is newly replaced, it could cause a malfunction in the PCM. Before painting a newly replaced part, protect the bolt (4) contact area (3) with masking tape (5) as shown in the figure. |
| SA-028-26 | 2026-05-04. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit a clicking, popping, tapping or knocking noise from the front when turning left or right and accelerating. NOTE: The noise could occur at different steering wheel angles or power levels. Due to the insulating properties of the suspension and chassis, it can be difficult to determine which driveshaft is at fault by listening from inside the vehicle. See the attached video for an example of an outer CV joint clicking. Repair Procedure: Replace the affected driveshaft after confirming the source of the noise using chassis ears. Both driveshafts may be faulty; verify each side before replacement. |
