What is wrong
Issue:
On certain vehicles equipped with a 360-degree camera, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to not appear on the SYNC display screen. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear.
Safety Risk:
A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the image processing module (IPMB) software.

| SSM 55069 | 2026-08-11. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2025 Explorer vehicles equipped with a power roof opening panel may exhibit a sunshield with localized bunching or binding/inoperative. This may be due to a broken or missing sunshield fabric retainer/clip. A revised sunshield clip (LJ6Z-5452118-B) is now available to address this condition. It is not necessary to replace the entire sunshield assembly if the clip(s) are broken or missing. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17 Roof Opening Panel > General Procedures > Inspection and Replacement of the Roof Opening Panel Shield Clip. |

| SSM 54491 | 2026-01-21. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2026 Escape/Corsair vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel may exhibit a sunshield with localized looseness/sagging or binding/inoperative. This may be due to a broken or missing sunshield fabric retainer/clip. A revised sunshield clip (5452118) is available to address this condition. It is not necessary to replace the entire sunshield assembly if the clip(s) are broken or missing. | SSM 54137 | 2025-08-19. Service bulletin. Various 2021-2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with the rear camera on demand feature may exhibit "Please Check Surroundings For Safety" or "Full View Not Available" messages when the rear camera button is pressed and the vehicle is not in reverse. Inform customers this condition is considered normal operation and does not affect vehicle durability because the full rear view camera image can only be shown when the vehicle is in reverse. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition. |
| SSM 52373 | 2024-04-04. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2024 Aviator vehicles equipped with auto air refresh option (minor feature code G1DAG) may exhibit a buzzing/clicking/humming/ticking sound from the OHC and/or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P24AE in the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. To confirm if a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). If diagnostics lead to the in-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor as the causal part, a new lower level part is available. It is not necessary to replace the OHC assembly if only the sensor is suspect. Use part number L1MZ-19F666-A to resolve the concern. |
| SSM 51265 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. Some vehicles equipped with power folding mirrors may exhibit power folding mirrors that are inoperative or exhibit a clicking sound. This may be due to the mirrors being manually folded in, during transportation, going through a car wash, bumped in a parking lot, or found during pre-delivery inspection (PDI). Prior to the replacement of any components, attempt to synchronize the mirrors by following the Power Mirrors Synchronization procedure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-09 Rear View Mirrors - General Procedures - Power Mirrors Synchronization. |
| SSM 50811 | 2022-06-01. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2022 Explorer/Aviator vehicles may exhibit the A/C blowing warm air with DTCs P0645, P2CFC, and/or P2CFD present in the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) module. This may be due to spread terminal/terminal pushout in wire harness 14290 and on the corresponding pins to the body control module C (BCMC). Before replacement of the BCMC, disconnect all connectors from the BCMC and check the BCMC pins and wire terminals for damage. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10. If spread terminals or terminal pushout is present, repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 005 for repair procedures. Reconnect all connections to the BCMC as indicated by the procedure in the WSM. Test the function of the A/C to verify that it is blowing cold air. |
| SSM 50478 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Corsair vehicles may exhibit air conditioning (A/C) condensation leaking onto the passenger floor making the carpet wet. This may be due to a hole created at the bottom of climate control housing caused by a difficult to remove retainer located on the side of the center console trim panel. There is a pin type retainer that attaches the side trim panel to the climate control housing, it must be cut prior to removal otherwise it could damage the climate control housing resulting in a condensation leak to the interior. The fuse block cover needs to be removed before accessing the right hand side trim panel. Refer Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-12 for the proper removal procedure. |
| SSM 50379 | 2022-02-04. Service bulletin. Some 2011-2022 Explorer and 2020-2022 Aviator vehicles may experience an inoperative roof opening panel motor. If diagnostics lead to a motor replacement, visually inspect the original motor for signs of water intrusion. If found, determine source of water leak prior to replacing the motor. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17, Pinpoint Test A for 2011-2016 and Pinpoint Test B for 2017-2022 for identifying the source of the water leak. |
| SSM 50105 | 2021-09-28. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Corsair/Escape vehicles may exhibit issues with the roof opening panel shield feature of the roof opening panel where a replacement shield pilot clip is needed. The shield pilot clips are now available separately for service, Part Number LJ6Z-5452118-A. Reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-17. Replacement of the roof opening panel sun shade is not necessary when only replacing the shield pilot clips. |
