Service bulletins for the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TT371301 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When replacing the 7 speed DSG transmission, the K0 clutch actuator may come with a yellow and black plastic plug installed, as shown in figure 1. This plug should be removed and replaced with the aluminum plug found in the original K0 clutch actuator, figure 2. The yellow and black plastic plug should be reinstalled in place of the plug on the original transmission. |

| TT321401 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Incorrect torque converter or flywheel/flexplate installation can result in transmission damage. When installing an engine, flywheel or transmission, please follow the installation procedures outlined in ELSA. For the flywheel/flexplate, please be certain the correct shim is installed between it and the crankshaft (reference VWIQ120). When installing a torque converter, press the torque converter hub through the seal as far as the first stop. Turn the torque converter while pushing toward the transmission using light force, until the cut outs in the torque converter hub lock into the pump wheel plate. The torque converter slides in. The torque converter is installed correctly if it is easy to turn by hand and if it fits evenly in the transmission bell housing. Additionally, it should spin freely when the transmission bell housing bolts are torqued to the engine block, prior to installation of the flywheel to converter bolts (reference VWIQ121). |
| TT271102 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. When diagnosing a low battery or no charging system concern, start by inspecting the SA1 200 amp fuse in the SA fuse block. DO NOT replace the generator. Perform a voltage drop test between threaded connections 508 and SA1 as shown in Figure 1. If the voltage drop is above .02V, disconnect the battery and remove the cables at the 508 connection and the SA1 connection. Check for continuity of the threaded plate connection between 508 and SA1. If fuse SA1 is found to have an open circuit, replace the fuse and check the threaded connections closely. |
| TT261402 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Disconnect both O2 sensors (front and rear), start engine and let idle. Check MVB's 41/4 and 136/4 and verify have both changed from a 1 to a 0 (you may have to drive the car 4 miles to get them to reset to 0). Also a key cycle may be required for values to reset. This forces the ECM to re-learn the O2 sensor adaptation. Once MVB 41/4 and 136/4 read 0, re-connect the O2 sensors, road test and recheck for faults. |
| TT261303 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Use of aftermarket air filters such as cotton bed steel mesh or cone style, can cause the MAF sensor to not read accurately, affecting vehicle performance and critical monitoring functions for the diesel particulate filter. This can also result in premature DPF failure. Only use factory air filters. The use of aftermarket air filters is not supported as the system was designed and calibrated to work with factory air filters. |
| TT241306 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Fuel injector seals are available separately for service repairs. It is not necessary to replace the complete fuel injector if a seal (upper or lower) is needed. Please see ETKA for the latest parts information. |
| TT2407103 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). When diagnosing fault code P2279-Leaking Air in Intake System, be sure to check the cam timing first. |
| TT231401 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. When replacing or adapting fuel injectors, if there is no Guided Functions Test Plan, utilize the following :UDS vehicles: Go to Guided Functions / Adapting Injector Quantity Adjustment correct values (IMA-IVA). |
| TT231002 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. When replacing fuel system components on the Common Rail TDI engine (including the fuel filter), the fuel system must be primed. |
| TT211401 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Inspect the cowling for warp, gaps or low seal compression between the hood and cowl weather strip. Straighten the |
| TT211301 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE. If mechanical damage is found to the turbocharger (e.g. damaged compression wheel, loose or broken shaft), it is not enough to just replace the turbocharger. |
| TT211001 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. When diagnosis on the above engine leads to the testing of the N75, please refer to the picture below. The diagram shows which vacuum ports on the N75 valve should hold vacuum and which ones should not. |
