Service bulletins for the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.
1657 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

| TT201301 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); UNKNOWN OR OTHER. To clear static ECM fault P1250 ?Fuel Level Too Low?, add fuel to vehicle and complete a road test of at least 10 miles. Simply adding fuel without completing a road test may not allow fault to clear. |
| TT200906 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Use the diagram below to test the N75 Solenoid Valve in the event of a turbocharger fault code such as P0299 or P0234. This applies to Mechanical Injection Style Diesel Engines, Pumpe Duse Style Diesel Engines and the new Common Rail Style Diesel Engines. |
| TT171401 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. A change was made to the engine Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) for 2014 Model Year vehicles that resulted in a change in the oil filter element. It is important to note that the two different designs are Not interchangeable. Failure to install the correct oil filter WILL result in permanent engine damage. |
| TT171301 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:OIL/LUBRICATION:FILTER/SCREEN. Check under the oil filter for the mandrel to be missing. This must be transferred from the old filter and re-installed. The most likely scenario for this to occur is after an oil change. |
| TT171202 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. An oil leak from around the oil drain plug noted after oil change, and/or drain plug replacement, may be caused by installation of incorrect drain plug. Correct part number drain plug is based on the oil pan design as shown below. Original drain plug is 18mm hex for both style oil pans. |
| TT131401 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. There are no bolts installed at the 9 and 3 o?clock positions from the factory. No bolts need to be installed in these locations while performing repairs. See photos for reference. |
| TT011401a | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Install a vacuum gauge on the dipstick tube and check crankcase vacuum at idle. Compare to a known good vehicle. If the vacuum reading is lower than the comparison vehicle, visually inspect for oil leaks between the engine and the transmission. Smoke test the crankcase by connecting the EVAP smoke machine to the dipstick tube and inspect for leaks at the rear main seal (this will limit pressure to 2 PSI). DO NOT apply shop air to the dipstick tube or the crankcase. If a rear main seal leak is identified, replace the seal. Once replaced, recheck crankcase vacuum at idle. If low, check for additional oil leaks and verify crankcase breather operation (repairing as necessary). Erase the faults and road test 10 miles to recheck operation. |

| V171901201285563 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Volkswagen Engine Oil Standards, updated to include model year 2024. |
| V171806201781318 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Engine Oil Consumption Measurement Instruction and Work sheet. |
| V171803203720116 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Correct engine oil level during Perfect Delivery Inspection (PDI) |
| V011615201481517 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Gasoline quality information in regards to gasoline engine performance. |
| V0116132033805_8 | 2023-07-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Diagnostic Aid for engine misfire. |
| TT261402 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Disconnect both O2 sensors (front and rear), start engine and let idle. Check MVB's 41/4 and 136/4 and verify have both changed from a 1 to a 0 (you may have to drive the car 4 miles to get them to reset to 0). Also a key cycle may be required for values to reset. This forces the ECM to re-learn the O2 sensor adaptation. Once MVB 41/4 and 136/4 read 0, re-connect the O2 sensors, road test and recheck for faults. |
| TT261303 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Use of aftermarket air filters such as cotton bed steel mesh or cone style, can cause the MAF sensor to not read accurately, affecting vehicle performance and critical monitoring functions for the diesel particulate filter. This can also result in premature DPF failure. Only use factory air filters. The use of aftermarket air filters is not supported as the system was designed and calibrated to work with factory air filters. |
| TT2407103 | 2023-07-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM). When diagnosing fault code P2279-Leaking Air in Intake System, be sure to check the cam timing first. |
