Service bulletins for the 2013 Ram 4500

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Do not change the ITBM until the system has been verified with load simulation and confirmed that ITBM is not recognizing the load. If load simulation indicates that the ITBM is operating properly, please verify the trailer wiring.~ 4. ITBM output will not be available if a trailer is not connect and plugged into the vehicle. The ITBM must detect a trailer before you will get trailer brake output.~ 5. Please follow the service manual procedures before changing the ITBM.~ This part can only be used as a replacement on vehicles with the Integrated Trailer Brake system already installed.
